Just picked up another Nolan helmet even though I did not need one. The N-103 was fine or so I thought. Went to my local shop looking for something completely different when my eye caught the new Nolan's on the shelf. I thought, "what the heck", I'll try it. The first thing I noticed was a lot more room in the chin bar area. The fit and finish was 1st class. Many improvements in terms of visibility, weight, ventilation, shaded shield operation, neck curtain, and integration of the new n-com B4. To my surprise they had the N-com B4 in stock. One thing led to another and 700.00 later, I brought it home. Installation of the N-com B4 took about 6 mins. Went on a ride to test it out. Much less noise than the N-103. Pairing was dirt easy and everything worked. Sound quality is great considering the size of the headset. The B4 offers FM radio reception and can be programmed with software downloaded from Nolan. The helmet has a mini-usb connection. The firmware may also be upgraded. The helmet was 340.00 and so was the N-com B4. The B4 also pairs up to four helmets and features bike to bike communication. The really great news is that it's backwards compatible with older N-com systems. They will talk to each other!!. So, while my N-103 lost it's role as a starting pitcher, it be there in a relief role when needed. More info may be found at www.webbikeworld.com and at www.revzilla.com
