Does anyone know which side panel "Cowl setting bolt", which takes an Allen wrench instead of a Phillips head screw driver, works with an ST1100?
On an earlier ST1100 I owned, those bolts took an Allen wrench (a PO had changed them out) and they were the same bolt Honda used on another model bike--and probably several others-- but I can't remember which bike it was, but I think I remember seeing the info somewhere on the "old" ST list. They took the same size Allen wrench as most of the other cowl fasteners, such as the lower cowl and the engine side panels, which made it very handy to just keep one T handle on the bike. Also, the Allen head bolts were not so prone to disfigurement as were the ones requiring the Phillips screw driver.
The ones listed for the ST1100, even back to the 94 models through 2001, are pn 83641-KY6-000, and they take a Phillips screw driver.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
