What did you do with your Yamaha today?

Took my seat off today to check if my tire patching glue was still good and was greeted by a mouse nest made out of my owners manual. He/she must have only been there a short time because I didn't find any poop anywhere and only one wire slightly nibbled. Come think of it, I was in there yesterday. Aggravating little beggars.
Did you know a new owners manual cost $32.94 delivered?

Ahh, the joys of living in the country.;) Glad it was not worse. You don't need no stinken book anyhow.
 
I finally had the time to do a little bit of work to mine. I have had the components since November and December but have been too busy with work to deal with the bike.

I installed a set of MondoMotos MM10 bullet leds on the forks and tied in my Zumo 660 at the same time. I powered the Zumo from the relay provided with the MondoMotos lights, so far this seems to be a nice setup.

I miss the RBIS GPS mount I had on my ST1300. The FJR keeps the GPS way down and I do not like looking away from the road to read it.



I also found that the ES does not provide a really solid mount for my LEDs. I am going to have to find a way to stiffen things up because the lights shake too much.

 
Took the little XT out for a ride around town between rain showers. Great little bike for running errands in the city. Rode over to Fitzsimmons Medical Park (old Fitz Army Med Center were I was station and work at for many years) to see the new VA hospital construction project. A few Billion Dollars over budget.hospital-work-JPG.jpg Then I rode over to the Post Chapel where my son was baptizes 40 years ago. Brought back a lot of memories. I don't go over there much any more, except to visit my Doc, Cardiologist, once a year. Was a great hour ride on my little girlie bike.SAM_4764.jpg SAM_4765.jpg

Me too. I used a MIgsel on the ST.....it was near perfect. I'm hesitant to mount anything on the upper panel of the FJR. It's a bit thin and about $100.00 to replace when it cracks from the load.

That's probably wise..... I use a dash shelf on the FJR to hold the GPS, TPMS, etc.
 
Started packing my FJR for a road trip I am making next week with some Oklahoma friends of mine.
 
Changed spark plugs and the air filter on the Tenere today. I will synch the throttle bodies, adjust the CO and change the oil tomorrow. So far so good.

This week the FJR got it's rear brake pedal pivot lubed, fresh oil & filter, rear diff oil changed, new Doran TPMS sensors and a nice bath to get the OHStoc bugs off. Ready for the next trip....... New tars arrived today, putting them in inventory for upcoming change likely in September.
 
Actually, over the last week. Getting ready for a 3K+ mile trip in August on the S10. Bike has 19K miles on it.

New Shinko 705's, put a Rigid 6" light bar on under the headlights with an Eastern Beaver relay, changed the rear brake pads (30% left on them, fronts at 75%+). New spark plugs, air filter. Changed the oil and filter, changed final drive oil. Checked all the spokes. All bolts and bearings are good.

Did the 3/4 turn on the right air screw and synched the throttle bodies afterward. According to the Harmonizer it was off by +25 mbar. Also, I adjusted the CO to +8, changed the oil and final drive oil. I can't believe how much smoother the bike is now.

I've got a new K60 Scout to go on the front if I can ever wear this one out. It has 14K miles and looks like it will do another 1K. Still loving this bike.

I installed a Givi locking tankbag . REVZILLA IS GREAT i ordered the metal ring i needed on tuesday and it was on my steps wed. !!
And i hooked up my Corbin seat i took it for a small ride i like it and cant waite to get er broken in. The seat looks perfect its good to see Mike Corbin hasnt lost his touch !!

Broke out my 81 Yamaha QT50 (Yamahopper) I have it hopped up. 60cc, bigger carb., no air box with Uni filter, Goes 35 to 40 mph on the flats. Got it kick started, and rode it around. Got to go back in the carb and drop the main one size. I swear the jetting changes with 20 degrees of temp change.
