I would like to know how to either adjust the rev limiter a bit higher or disable it altogether on my 1999 ST1100.
Thanks

I learned something - I didn't know the ST1100 had a rev limiter.

being a interference engine I wonder at what rpm the valves start to float and hit the pistons??Why? To what purpose?

And you sure don't want to hit when you are passing someone .... ;-)
LOL! :crackup<cleaning keyboard, screen and desk from nostril coffee-spray...>If you have to ask this question, you are probably better off leaving it alone.
Right on, highest torque: 4200rpm, highest output: ~6500rpm...The torque and horsepower curves are already falling off at that point.
Yup, got that right UP...And you sure don't want to hit when you are passing someone .... ;-)
What happens ?
How's the ankle?
The revs are 'limited' and the engine tends to cut out - not something you need in a passing situation. ;-)
