I currently have a Powerlet heated jacket and wireless controller. The jacket never got very warm to begin with. I've recently lost about 25 lbs and it is too loose so it works even less now. I'm looking at a Warm N Safe Gen 4 heated jacket.

Wondering if the Powerlet wireless controller and dongle work with the Warm N Safe jacket? Or, will I need to purchase a Heat Troller?

Thanks,
Mike

Yes it will I use a powerlet wireless controller with my Gerbings liners works fine. I use 2 dual controllers so I can control each piece of heated gear separately. Jacket liner pants gloves socks

The nice part about the wireless controller by Heat Troller is it uses AAA batteries instead of the CR flat batteries.

The CR batteries last me all season and they are small and light so I carry a few with me but they are available at any drug store.

yeah but I don't care for them, I have several things that use the AAA so I prefer that option.. just a preference really... one thing is for sure - make sure you have a small screw driver that will work on the cover... I got really cold for a few hours on one ride because I didn't have anything to easily get the cover off and I didn't want to mess up the heads on those.

Good to know. Thanks for the replies. My Powerlet controller uses AAA batteries too. Replace them once a year.

True I have a set of JIS screw drivers and it came with a small one that is perfect for just that. I keep it in my tool kit.

I keep one from a jewelry/watch kit handy.. didn't know that was a jis screw. I don't think mine came with one.

Mike the powerlet controller is made by warm n safe

I've been using a Warm n Safe dual controller to heat my Synergy heated liner and gloves for years! I had to modify it to take it, but works great!

And the newer Warm n Safe controllers use AAA batteries. :D

The screws on the Warm n Safe Heat Troller use a #1 Phillips screwdriver. I use the remote Heat Troller for my heated gear. The AAA batteries have lasted two full seasons, and would have gone longer, except when I measured the voltage they were down to about 1.2volts. I decided that I'd replace them, just for grins :D.

WnS calls them jacket liners and specifically recommends they be worn under a jacket not as a jacket and over a T-shirt (as close to the body as possible).

I've yet to test mine (as the has been above a bone-chilling 55º) although I do have a 12V gel battery in the house...
