I concur - no dents worth worrying about there.

In fact, a dent would have to be very deep indeed (like a depth of 20-40% of the diameter of the pipe, I would guess) before it would markedly affect the flow of exhaust gasses or cause a hotspot that might promote a burn-through.

Dented headers are apparently no cause for alarm.

The only thing a dent would do to an exhaust would be to restrict air flow. If the dent isn't enough to protrude into the pipe enough to restrict air flow... just keep riding.

Bigger question to me is: what is that black stuff all over the collector?

Over the pond, those guys use a sealant of some type on the swing arm because of the heavy road salt use in winter. This could be the same material.

I think something like this (one on the right) is to worry about!

I dont know what the black stuff is I just got the pipes, John.

Thankyou for the viedeo - amazing!!

I think the black stuff is probably VHT paint, could be hiding a weld repair?
I agree with the other posters, dents like this are fine, although I think what you are referring to is the normal shape of the collector, possibly slightly altered by repair?
Upt'North.

I was the left hand side that was badly damaged - the guy dropped it off today - really serious damage almost bent, so I got a refund. Thankyou for your replies, John.
