Signal lights not working. No power to signal light wires.

ever since I installed the switchbacks (and keep in mind I have removed them now)

still fast blinking lights. any thoughts?

At this point I'm assuming there are no LEDs in the bike's turn signals? Otherwise that issue appears to have been addressed in posts 14 and 15.

In the old days of bi-metal flashers adding extra lights as in from a trailer caused turn signals to flash faster but not as brightly. I think the ST's flasher is electronic and while not LED compatible shouldn't be affected by heavier current draw. But maybe there was some mis-wiring and this is what is happening?

I'd check and double check every connection and change made previously and ensure they've been correctly made or correctly corrected. Pull the flasher relay and see if any of the turnsignal bulbs still get power. You might swap it with another relay.

And for the sake of clarity there are:

running lights
turn signal lights
tail lights
none of which are LEDs yeah? (Although LED tail lights shouldn't matter).

Turn the key on— what lights are on/what lights are off
Turn the turn signals on– what lights are on/what lights are off
Does any of this change when the bike is running?
Are the flashers still 'hyper-flashing'?

Got it working, finally. Had it in at the dealer for an unrelated issue and had them look at it. there was a cut in the wire further down the line that caused the short. thanks everyone for your assistance.

just to clarify a cut wire would be an open. A power wire rubbed thru on the frame (to ground ) would be a short
