Has anyone identified a suitable hardware STore replacement for the 12mm oil drain plug crush washers? They seem to be a bit overpriced for my taSTe on the web...and I can't see going through a parts warehouse (BB) and paying three times the coST of the washer for shipping.

I think ebay and amazon have selections of cw's. These are the typical plastic box divided into many compartments with different sized crush washers. They are cheap enough that even if you throw half of them away, you are still ahead.
 
If you go on eBay and search for 12 mm crush washers, you can get them for less than $ 9 for a package of 10, free shipping.
 
Check Amazon. 150 PC kit in 8 sizes for $10.

Reminds me of a local dealer that I visited, needing a few crush washers and an oil filter. Asked parts guy about the washers: "We ain't got none." HTH do you do bike service but don't have crush washers?? I didn't buy the filter and never went back!
 
.98cents last fall when I got one from the Honda stealer. My Toyota dealer gives me one free when I buy his $5.43 oil filter.
 
I use mine over and wrap teflon tape over the threads ( except for the 3 end threads ). No leaks over the last 10 years.
 
Got a bunch from Cyclemax Ohio but they are the aluminum 14mm ones for ST13, GL, FJR, etc. Roughly 35 cents each is what I paid for a pack of 10 way back... flip 'em over and reuse of course... I wouldn't have a problem with a copper washer either..... should be able to find these just about anywhere. Maybe just google 12mm aluminum washer?
 
I think I've replaced one over the life of the bike. Usually reheat and quench, softens the copper ones right up again.
 
They will last a very long time if you don't overtorque them... if you are, eventually the aluminum ones will start to curl and wrap around the drain plug head, but that could take several oil changes..... if you stick to 20-22 ft. lbs., shouldn't be a problem.
