Sir Stirling Moss has left us at aged 90. A finer gentleman and racer probably never lived.
Goodnight Sir and thanks for the memories.
Upt'North.

I used to have a pair of his famous open-backed racing gloves. (My only Stirling Moss trivia, I'm afraid)

Moss believed that the British right-hand-drive setup was superior for right-handed people, since the primary hand stayed on the wheel when shifting gears with a manual transmission. So all you lefties in the Americas and on the Continent, rejoice!

I well remember Stirling Moss driving the Lotus underdog to victory at Monaco and keeping ahead of the all conquering red shark-nosed Ferraris. What a fantastic driver.

I got into motorsports long after Moss's career. But I heard he was one of the greatest that ever drove a race car. So Godspeed to Him.

Stirling was a legend here in Australia when we were kids (50s). When we were racing our billy-carts we would argue who was going to be Stirling Moss.
"I'm Stirly Moss!", "No, I'm Stirly Moss". All we knew was his name (nearly), and that he was the best in the world.
Thanks for being part of our lives Stirling.
