Time to rack and roll!

Probably wouldn't be if your state has a requirement for hanging a specific flag off the end of the ladder and you were in compliance.

Hah. More likely it would drill the rider.

It really is sharp looking. Even cooler would be a fire extinguisher on one side and an NOx bottle on the other.
In stead of speeding ticket red, id b fire engine red. It doesnt have the same charm!

@mmmsted Not exactly but thanks. I was looking for the angle right over top of the latch.
I'm taking it to a professional welder to deal with it. I've marked it all out and will have him re-weld the right side so that it's a mirror image of the left.

Many thanks. Enjoy your day.
Cheers
The guy with the bent rack. ;)

Well, get bent, i hope it all works out for you. This rack is the bomb and i hope you eventually get to enjoy it. Inot that it matters now, i mentioned shipping because it was shipped in a wicked rookie packaging thing. But, it sounds like u have bigger problems.

Riding to work tomorrow and will get another shot. Its about 30 seconds out of my day. Ill send u a bill!

Little bit of inconvenience, if you have a bag strapped to the rack you can't open the pannier. :(

Just made a custom dry bag to fit on it. It's easily removable to gain access. (but you can't really see it)

Yea, been thinking abour separately strapping my drys. All said and done, ill figure a way to use the pans for the least used things
Im pondering water bottles i can strap on for example.

The inaccessibility of the panniers when the racks are loaded reminds me of side opening panniers vs top opening panniers. They both have their good/bad points and proponents. In either case (lol) there is some compromise willingly accepted by said proponents.

So you organize your packing sequence to best suit your potential use case or 'work flow' as it may be. In the long run if the racks are actually used then the slight inconvenience of pannier access is at most just that. And when not used — they do look pretty bad-assed.

Ill b on vacation. The fifteen seconds it takes me to unstrap my dry bags will b little inconvenience to me. That rack looks so badassed, hell, ill suffer thirty seconds unstrapping! I must b a bike nerd. I look at the new setup a lot and think its pretty cool!

Completed my dry bags today and they attach nicely. I can lift them out of the way easily to access the latches on the panniers.
The dry bags contain my hammock, gear hammock, air pad and Tyvec ground cloth.
Very pleased with how it mounts on the rack.
