Now that is a ride! Across the country and back and the UP. Good pic of the Mackinac bridge.

Ok, Ok... you got the award for this year but I think I got it for last year :thumb:
Nice pics especially the enlistment ceremony! God Bless your son for his service to this great country!

Wow, what a ride. There can't be many that have travelled further and quicker.
That distance in that time must be a rarity......
Or is it?
Well done fella, Bob summed it up nicely, not bad for a bloke that doesn't drink coffee. Bob that is.
Upt'North.

Where to, if you don't mind?
My main goal was to be with our youngest son for his reenlistment in the Navy. I started my route there going to Idaho and then across the upper sections of the country going to Maryland where my son is stationed at Fort Meade. I went riding everyday while there including going to Delaware. I then made my way back hitting Virginia West Virginia, Kentucky, Missouri, and several other states. I just tried to stay on back roads until I hit Cortez Colorado and then it was the slab home.

Talk about numbers, Mike, you're a machine! That's an average of 435 miles / day! I'd have to take 3 days off and find a special bathroom if I did that for one day!! :tp1::eek:

Did the '07 hit 250K?

Quite the ride Mike, congrats. I did 5500 miles in 11 days to the west coast and back on my ST 1300 in 2014. I called it my "Half an Iron Butt" (500 miles a day for 11 days in a row) lol. Made me realize I could never do a whole Iron Butt lol. Those guys must be TOUGH!

Yes it did hit 250K, it now has 256K.

My last day of riding I did just over 1200 miles and the day prior was 900 miles. When it is time to go home I make a run for it!!

Dayum, you and the bike are amazing! Glad you made it home safely. I have a set of rear brake pads for you. After all those miles you may be needing them soon! :slvr11:

Thanks for sharing the pictures. It looks like you had a great ride! Much gratitude to your son for his service to our great country, and thanks to you for raising a patriot!
