RTC 2025/08/31-09/7 Rolling ONcamp/CabinSTOC Northern ONT

I reserved my site at Providence Bay Tent and RV park. It’s not the easiest process. I ended up emailing them, they responded quickly.

Our website form is not working at the moment. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Please Call (705) 377-4650 or email us at providencebaypark@gmail.com to book your stay.

A tent site without electricity is $50 and I believe you can have a couple of tents per site. They request a deposit of $50. They will email you with instructions for payment.
Book soon as it is a holiday weekend.

I booked for the August 31 1:15pm sailing. Assumed this is the "1pm" sailing that Dave referred to earlier. Cheers!
Hey Tom (Robert)
Good to hear you're joining us Tom.
Does this mean you are camping or hoteling it? Just wanted to confirm number of tents per site.
I could possibly book another site in case we have 4 tents?

And Tom perhaps you should register to this event.
Dave

I just looked at the Ontario Provincial park website (Fri. Aug.15 5:00 pm) for availability for Missisaugi (Elliot Lake Sept 1) Rabbit Blanket Lake Superior Provincial Park (Sept 2 Wawa) and Chutes (Sept 3 Massey) there appears to be plenty of sites available if we can confirm numbers we could easily book one or two sites at each campground. Oastler on the other hand is pretty much booked, however Andreas has a site with Hydro and he would have room for two other tents ( go to the ONSToc thread he’s posted there). I also booked a site and have room for two more tents, but my site doesn’t have Hydro. I booked Oastler this morning and I think there were at least 6 sites still available, some with hydro some standard

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the note. I registered and added a note I should probably have left here. In for first night of camping so far.

Robert.
I will be good for sharing all camp sites until September 3rd. That night I'll be staying at my son's in Sudbury.

As Robert has suggested boys it would be good to coordinate site sharing. Gerhard is 'Iffy' because of his knee injury. That leaves Robert, Terry, Tom (also 'Iffy") and myself for camping. Provincial Parks allow 3 tents plus an enclosure. So we should be good on one site. Right?

Please Chime In who's camping.
Thanks.

With regards to Providers Bay camp ground, they allow 4 adults per site.
Currently I’m sharing with Stomping Tom, and possibly Northern tour depending on the amount of trees.
The provincial parks max out at six per site with three shelters. Once we are on the road we can easily sort out the campsites for the Provincial parks. We should however sort out the first night at Providence Bay. We will need at least one more camp site host.

I unfortunately will have to cancel:(. My knee while better is getting better keeps me from getting up from the ground easily so sleeping in a tent might not be great. I am able to be on my feet for a whole work day but I don’t know that I would be confident holding up the bike. I don’t want slow down the group and affect everyone’s enjoyment.
Hope everyone has a great time.

Gerhard

Gerhard, totally understand, knee injuries do take time to heal, and the last thing one wants to do is compromise the healing process. You will be missed.
Take care.

I'm out too.
Niki, (my lovely 1st wife), had C4,5,6 surgery that went well as far as the surgery goes but there were some complications. It was supposed to be a 1 night hospital stay but she's on day 4 and counting.
I'll be needed on the home front.
Enjoy every minute guys.

I hope your current wife recovers quickly and completely from the surgery.

Dang. We were hoping you'd pack precooked bacon, sour dough bread and tomatoes for your famous campfire BLT's.
Another weeks rest and you'll be fine for ONStoc.
