New member from UK

Welcome to the forum!

A rare-ish find but looks good!

A lot of ex plod ST13's had a section cut out of the frame to make them unusable, but it was easily repaired if you knew a good welder of aluminium!

I talked to the guy who bought it from the police having only done just 2000miles. I know its been looked after and I will pay him a visit in the future when its MOTd, hopefully this week.

welcome from...also a UK newbie, (but living in Portugal).....
Topic change - hope you are going to Fatima on 21st Sept ... for 11am , I leave home next Sat to go there. Meet up with 180,000 other motorcyclists (Not a typo !!)

Now that sounds a proper awesome event.....Are you riding over?....But gotta say, that timing conflicts with some other stuff....Would have been great to meet, though!

Yes , cross Dublin to Cherburg - then down France etc. Liking Portugal helps - and fluent in Portuguese helps too (Thanks Brazil). Google / youtube Helmet blessing Fatima 2024 , when 180,000 turned up)

Looks like a very clean example.

Some nice BikeQuip extras.

Replace brake and clutch fluids which will be well past "sell by" date plus coolant ( use bike not car coolant ! )

Do not try to bleed the brakes using instructions in Haynes manual. Download the Honda workshop manual and follow instructions.

Quite a few ex police bikes still in use. At 41,000 barely run in.

Bit below heated grip switch looks like police radio helmet connector.

The Bike sailed through MOT today and my first proper ride....very smooth....The rear shock is superb and is yss. The bit below the heated switch is now a switch for when it was going to be used as a blood bike and switches the fancy leds on the top box. They are quite cool and enhance the brake light and indicators. I was wrong in the above post.

Willsmotorcycle What are the bikeQuip extras you mentioned?

That comment was made by V4 Rider, not Willsmotorcycle.

He is referring to the scuff guards that are visible on your ST1300. These are not original equipment. They are from a vendor called Bike Quip.
