So, im sitting here, getting myself tour horny, and wonder what excneptional rides exist near suches. If plans go as i hope, ill b in suches a few days before the meet.

I go to Suches or nearby a lot, probably twice a year since 2006. The riding is fantastic in N GA and it's just hour or three on the bike gets you throughout western NC and eastern TN.

Yea, was there years ago. Some nice corners there! Was told there was some sisters or a dragon or something. No matter what, ill find some loops!!!!

You could add "Miles through Time Automobile Museum" to you routes as it's less than 40 miles from Two Wheels - 583 Grant St, Clarkesville, GA 30523

There are usually a few bikes there as well. It's a cool place to spend an hour or two.
 
Since the ST owner's club meeting that was supposed to happen in April in Suches Georgia didn't take place because of rain, do any of you folks from this region want to schedule a meet in North Georgia on a weekend to get together? Maybe we'll get lucky and have better weather.
 
I could meet up on a Saturday anywhere from 11 am to 3pm but I have to be back in Cumming Georgia by 5 PM on Saturdays.
Most Sundays after church are wide open in fact some Sundays I could just plan on doing church up there visiting a church in North Georgia on my bike and go riding afterward.

PS: We set the clocks back an hour on the morning of Sunday, November 2.
That afternoon, and thereafter, although the published sunset time is around 5:30 PM in reality in those heavily forested mountains it will actually get dark a little before 5 PM.

I'm going to be up there riding out of Porter Springs, about 10 miles south of Suches, October 25-29.

Western NC has tons of squiggly lines, a couple hours from Suches. Wheels Through Time in Maggie Valley could be a destination for a day trip. Butts on the Creek nearby for ‘que. Look for squiggles and go.
 
When I was at Wheels Through Time in 2014 Dale, the founder, walked right up to us and just started chatting with us. He walked around the museum with us and talked to us about all of the unique things that he had in there and explained where they came from and why they were unique. He even pushed a couple of the old bikes outside and fired them up for us. He even offered to let us ride one around the parking lot. It was like having our own private tour guided by the owner. He was very friendly, very knowledgeable, and a really nice guy. Anyone in the area who has never been to the Wheels Through Time museum should make this a stop.
 
I’ve never gone into “Wheels Through Time” up in Maggie Valley, North Carolina. But much closer to SUCHES, Georgia is the town of Clayton, GA, and there is a smaller automotive museum with a couple of old motorcycles, and many antique / classic cars in it, called “Miles Through Time” and it’s worth seeing.
Although you probably don’t need to spend more than 45 minutes in there. It’s also a thrift store / secondhand goods store related to motorsports.

From Suches to Clayton, Georgia is 37 miles. From Suches to Maggie Valley is 117 miles.
 
I’m thinking about taking a ride from the area of Gainesville, Georgia into the Western 1/3 of South Carolina and knocking off a couple of those A-to-Z cities ,

and relocating the TAG from just a historical marker sign on the side of the road to something more substantial— a building, a museum,...


Are any of you folks from Georgia or South Carolina or even the southwest corner of North Carolina interested in running some of that with me? We could alternate doing the South Carolina cities, taking turns with each letter of the alphabet!
