Good morning, coffee’s ready. Same brand as last time, it was on sale, 30% off, Friele Frokostkaffe, no not German.

Today my orders are to defrost a freezer….amongst other things.
But not need for defrosting car yet.
Fever gone, just snot and coughing left, no not the car.

7˚c/45f, overcast, no rain, 15 mph cold wind from north .

Have a good one !
Stu

Todays situation, kind of blu….

Thanks Stu for the coffee startup. Snot be damned.

1C and flurries for the drive into work. 4C and rain for the drive home.

My FIL fell for a virus pop up scam on his laptop while looking for Christmas tree bulbs. Yup, he called the number on the pop up. Luckily he didn't give them any credit card info, but I had to go thru my home network looking for bad actors and whatnot. 'Tis the season.... large fish poop (*bass turds.)

Hope everyone has a great day.

Obo.

G'Day...

3°/6°C today, full overcast, fog, drizzle, everything wet and dripping... yuck! :freeze1:
on the plus side no itchy underwear as I prefer 100% cotton... ;)
at least the Bridgestones were able to show their abilities on the wet and cold tarmac... flawless...

GF at her workplace today (she works in hospital administration), this time as a 'client' though... follow-up...
Helped her into a cab this morning... modern car designs with small doors and shortened seats are a PITA... :cautious:
The verdict is already out: still only partial load on the bolted femoral neck and radius... next appointment Dec 15th...
In short: take it easy, we'll talk again next time...

Still no news on date or location of the full reha she'd applied for...

Office, dull... sketched out 3 VRF systems for the Castle Hernstein we apparently won the bid to with LG equipment...

gotta go, plotting out construction plans for another project, Vienna General Hospital ... 5 VRF plus redundant storage refrigeration systems...

and: the weekend is near!

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Stu.
Glad to hear that you're getting better.

It's sunny and 37, rising to 45 later.

Yesterday, I made it to the gym, and got rid of Freya's used sharps. I also did a bit of rehab on my downspout. I have a bit more to do, maybe today

I'm not going to my MRI today. Got a call yesterday, and apparently the VA's community care approval didn't go through. They're going to follow up, but from searching the VA website, it looks like the approval was denied. Now, I've got to regroup. I'll hear back from the MRI place, today, but it looks like I'll need to apply for approval from my private insurer.

Since I didn't have to prep for that, we pigged out at our local Mexican place.

Today, I'll head over to the gym, and head into Worcester for a blood draw for my PSA test. I was planning on doing that after my MRI, but...

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Ah, coffee from Norway once again, very good. Woke up this morning to a wee dusting of white on the ground. Hopefully a quiet day in store in my world. Got home last night from my daughter's house, after having a great birthday meal of roast beef! These last two weeks have been interesting, leased a new Maverick hybrid awd - leased, rather than purchased, because I don't want to get saddled with buying a $5000 battery down the road... Promptly found a used 5 x11 trailer for sale on Marketplace, which followed me home. Also, finished laying stones on the patio/entrance area at my daughter's house, turned out quite nice, but glad it's done. And now, back to today. Summer van tires (on rims) to be put away in the shed, a ceiling light to put up in the bedroom. and possibly draining gas from a little used KLX 130, and replacing with fresh. Won't start on apparently stale gas, although Sta-bil was added, sigh...

Good morning and thanks for the kaffe, Stu, glad to hear you're feeling better!

Our weather can be described in a single word: "BLECH." Since Monday's snowstorm (which, incidentally, caused major road accidents due to periods of icy precipitation and left 300,000 people without power across Quebec - guess I was lucky), we've had nothing but cold, dreariness and sogginess. Same again today, when conditions will consist of snow flurries, interspersed with periods of mixed rain/snow and rain. Messy and generally unpleasant. Right now, we have light rain (but I see some flakes in there), with a temperature of 1°C/34°F with a feels-like of -1°C/30°F. I don't think I'll be venturing out unless I absolutely have to today.
Unfortunately, we didn't get to see those spectacular northern lights because of the constantly overcast skies. Some people I know who live north of us out in rural areas where there's a lot less light pollution did get to see them, and posted some fantastic pics of them. I also have friends who live in Tasmania, and they saw and posted pics of them as well! First time the Aurora Borealis has ever been seen in Australia, they said! Don't know if my cousins in Melbourne saw them, I'll have to ask.

Everybody have a good one, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee, Stu. I stopped by and filled my cup earlier but didn't linger to socialize just then. Rude of me, I know, but now I'm back for a refill so I'll smile and nod pleasantly at everyone.

It's partly sunny and 47°F in Lansdale, going to get into the low 50s with mixed sun and clouds.

I never cleared the leaves yesterday but did visit the garage where the remains of the extended in-law clan's former home furnishings and belongings are stored, combing through the detritus in search of small treasures of sufficient intrinsic interest that they might be useful as raffle items.

Mostly there were commonplace drinking glasses, place settings, knickknacks, vases, and the like but a few things found their way into the car. These will be dragged home to be cleaned, evaluated, and dealt with in the coming few weeks by Mrs. Fun, as it's her organization holding the raffle in early December.

I've spent time with my uke again this morning, perhaps making minor headway on a piece I'm determined to learn ("Early One Morning", an lovely traditional English folk song). I can get through the melody alright, but the variation generally trips me up and even at my best it still sounds like a Grade 1 student plodding through. There's no fluidity or lightness in my playing yet, which this piece in particular really requires. I'll get there but it'll be a slog. By the time I can play it to my satisfaction I'll probably be sick of it and never want to hear it again.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Good Morning, woke up before the alarm, so got dressed ,opened gate and made Coffee and breakfast. Thanks Stu for Coffee today, good to hear that you're feeling better, too quote Calvin and Hobbs " Don't you hate it when the Boogers freeze in your nose"
Looking like Rain all day,52 F which is the high for today, humidity 94%, wind 11 mph SSE . Will be staying inside, two projects, organize office and or, sand and paint new plywood on a work bench in the Tractor Shed. Y'all have a great day G

Morning Stu & All from sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 58F, up from 50F and heading for 65F. A slight breeze now, but later we are supposed to get some good winds, coming from the SSW @ 24 to 41mph. And the storms are supposed to hit us tomorrow thru Tuesday. We'll see.

Most of the day, yesterday was spent driving the tractor between the drainage project and the gravel pile. I got quite a bit of gravel put down.

Today, we are heading down to ST George for a Costco run. That should lighten our pocket books a bit. :cautious:

Chris is still in bed, so nothing for the tummies yet. Pepsi(s) for later.

Anyone :dr13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Day #3 of the oil pan fight continues...I tried several different things, apart and in conjunction, but I only got a little closer just not enough to clear it. You know it's getting bad when I start drinking my coffee black. No diluting it so it hits harder. Thanks, Stu!

Eh, not much else to report. Dropped to 33F/0.5C last night but already up to 59F as of this writing. So, I can go roll around underneath the wife's car some more uttering various colorful metaphors. Rehearsal tonight as well as might be picking up a desk so I can move my WFH workspace into a better room of the house We shall see. Take care y'all!

Good afternoon all!
Thanks for your offerings Stu!
I do hope you are feeling lots better, I know, I’m being selfish!
I enjoy your great pictures!
39F, cool, overcast & damp here on the Bruce Peninsula.

I made a trip to Midhurst, Ontario yesterday.
The tractor parts being sold were not quite the quality I needed.
I don’t want to spend money for new, I was hoping to clean & re-paint!
My auction find is slowly getting to where I need it to be.

Four years ago his morning, my good friend Jim abruptly departed this world!
RIP Jim!

Passing on good luck to you JD on Oil pan replacement, after 40 plus years as a Mechanic I have learned to appreciate That sometimes it is Just Good Luck or Karma. Question what model of Honda does the wife have? Steel or Aluminum Oil pan?
CR-V oil pan, not sure on the year.

Looking at it, it appears to be aluminum.
