I’m looking for a set of mirror deflectors for my ST1300. Prefer OEM but will consider others, too.

I’m also looking for opinions from those who have/had these deflectors—do they make much of a difference?

I presume for the ST1100:

OEMs are no longer produced, so you'll have to go second-hand market.

I was working on a different style to 3D print that didn't require holes to be drilled. Instead it clipped-on over the edge. But I lost that model file and will have to start from a way earlier version that would take a lot to get back to the shape I had. You could search my posts for them I'd love feedback.

I also bought some OEMs to 3d scan but haven't had time (or enough patience) to get it to scan right.

Finally, I recall another guy over in Spain(?) 3D-scanned the leg deflectors, can't recall if he did the hand ones too. Can search for those too.

Yeah, originals for the ST1300 are pretty hard to find. every now and then a set will come up on eBay, but I haven't seen any for several years.

Thanks. I’m new to the ST1300, so I’m trying to farkle up. Do you think the deflectors significantly reduce wind on the arms—which really is my only complaint?

If you are riding in really hot (above 100F) or in cold (below 45F) the upper deflectors do help some. I have had them on all five of my ST1300s, and did notice the difference in the extreme temps.

The problem is trying to find them. I'm sure, someone with 3D printing could make them with the correct material. But I haven't seen any yet.

Good luck in your search.

only FIVE!? ;)

Yeah, I used to commute 125 miles a day and after putting on 140K on my first St1300, I decided I needed a back up, since I had never had a motorcycle go that many miles without major work to it. And then I found a few deals and by the time I stopped buying deals, (last one was a new 2012 in the late Summer of 2015) I had to start getting rid of some.

I currently have two up and running. And I decided to do an engine swap on a 05 I picked up, with the engine from an 06 ex cop bike that I also picked up. It still have a bunch of work I need to do to it, before getting it on the road. At least it runs good. ;)

I think I have some mirror deflectors and the lower deflectors but they are missing one inspection cover piece. I can look in my shop if you are interested.

Also have some pannier bags I'd like to move along. Got some other spare parts as well. Maybe I should get organized and list them all for sale here?

If anyone finds a 3d file for these deflectors let me know, I'll try and 3d print some. I haven't found anything after a search, someone has to of modeled these...

I lied. I can't find the mirror deflectors anywhere. I did find the lowers which I would be glad to supply to someone to develop 3D printer versions.

Same here. I may have a crack at designing mini deflectors for the top of the mirror housings. I find the fairing adequate except for the backs of my hands on cooler days.

Go to your local Honda dealer and ask them to do a database search. IT will look at the inventory of all the dealers. That's how I found a pair, in Texas. They are not particularly useful though. The faring defectors (by Honda) however, are VERY useful and I would highly recommend them.

If I had my 3D scanner sorted out better I'd take you up on your offer.
