DEPRESSO...
an emotion dawning when you're about to run out of coffee... :coffee:

meet my new Grinch...

G'Day...

1°/4°C, overcast, grey, damp, all outside is dripping wet...

the Nespresso maker is on, the capsule dispenser fully loaded... mugs are filled with steaming brew... :coffee:

its Sunday so we further have baked beans, half a dozen scrambled eggs and a hand full mini Bratwurst fresh out the air-fryer...
to soak all up a few slices fresh baked dark cornbread... Austrian barrel-butter from happy cow's milk...
Also some refreshing apple juice marked [100% vegan]... which I doubt, as this or that maggot surely has been processed along...

enjoy the day, tomorrow is Monday again, the weekend has passed with the blink of an eye...

Good morning. Thanks for the morning brew, Martin. Scrambled eggs and Brats sound good.

Brrrr….20, but feels like 3, with the 17 MPH north wind. And it only getting a couple of degrees warmer, if the sun comes out. It’s quite a change from yesterday’s high of 57. Everything has a slight coating of ice because it started to drizzle last evening, just as the temperature dropped below freezing.

Later, I’ll cook up a skillet of cornbread to go along with the huge pot of chili I cooked in preparation for this arctic blast. But, living in the South, it’s back into the 60’s by the end of the week.

Morning all, and thanks Martin for the coffee.

BTW, even it allows for a certain allowable amount of animal/insectal content to be included and still be fit for human consumption.

It snowed overnight. Not enough to snowblow, but enough to coat the icy spots and be dangerous for those our and about on foot or driving like id-juts. Currently -8 with a high of -4 expected. Clouds will be the sky dressing of the day.

Yesterday's event came to fruition, but some of the stores closed before we could exchange our money for wares, so I'm guessing today will be "The great exchange: Part Duh!"

Hope everyone has a great day.

Obo.

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast spread, Martin. It has never occurred to me that bratwurst might be a breakfast food, but heck yeah I'm in.

It's 30°F (feels like 19), blustery, cloudy, and snowing ever so lightly in Rockville. Overnight we got enough teeny, tiny ice crystals that there's a scant inch- if that much- of white stuff on the ground. The winter weather advisory that went into effect around 2000 hours yesterday has been extended until 1000 this morning. We'll shed Fahrenheits all day, bottoming out at around 18, as NW winds rise from 8 mph to around 15 with gusts of twice that. ICK, UGH, and EWWWWWW. I have my computer desktop set to rotate pictures we took last June in Hawaii; I'll keep that show running in order to keep my spirits up.

Today's big projects include disassembling and re-gluing one more of our dining set chairs, and making a pot of chicken soup. Uke practice will happen as well, along with who-knows-what-else.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

And that from a nation where they eat steak for breakfast...

Nah, the mini-brats are quite fine for a Sunday brunch, as this dish shows:

GF browsing though the trail-cam storage, checking who's visiting the bird-feeder... some invited, some not ;)

Thx Martin!
Trade my potted herring for your brats!

10˚c/50f, grey, a yellow warning for heavy rain and mudslides…..pfffft!

Weather kept me up much of the night.
Always nice to be grumpy for a reason.

Been for a wet walk.
Now to put up some outdoor christmas lights, they are supposed to be weatherproof….pfffft!

Have a nice and dry one!
Stu

From todays walk…100 years ago there were no/nil/zero trees on the island, all cut down to feed the copper mines, and the sheep ate whater green stuff trying to grow up.

I'm always impressed by the power of nature to recover from human-induced devastation. A million years after we've decimated the planet and killed ourselves off as a species, nobody will know.

Flighty birdbrains....
That's just nuts.
When you find the uninvited guest you should suet.
Right...
So besides the usual suspects of black & blue tits, noisy hordes of sparrows, robins, red-starts and blackbirds (all having an a little too small IR target signature for our trail cam, which has obvious issues tracing anything smaller as a cat...), we also have rather uncommon guests like the great spotted woodpecker, or a jay... both a rare sight... especially in urban areas...

then we've larger critters welcoming the additional food-source, like a black crow (actually also a very pretty bird), or the furry, noctual martens...

Methinks you'd better keep that bio-warfare up north... ;)

cheers!

Good morning and thanks for the coffee, Martin.

It's 29 with some snow falling in MA this morning , and this is as high as the temperature will go, today. we have about 1/2" right now.

We (Brenda) got everything wrapped and shipped out to Oregon, yesterday, and we dined out at our new favorite Chinese restaurant.

We don't have anything planned for today, so we'll most likely hunker down and enjoy the Christmas wonderland that's happening outside

Enjoy your day,
Steve

Good Morning, thanks Martin for coffee and carton. 49 F Raining all day, a Whooping high of 53 F. Windy as well 20 plus mph from South East. Woke up at 5:30 am , went to bathroom and tried to get some sleep as alarm set for 6:45 so I can open Airport gate, long story short, sleep wasn't happening. Today's agenda , make 100 cups of Coffee and fire up the grill at Mary's place for Monthly pancake breakfast. Might be flipping pancakes if no one else shows up. This afternoon We are going to a birthday party for my wife's aunt who's 90 and who looks and moves a lot younger, IMOP. Y'all have a good day G

Morning Martin & All from a cloud covered Southern Utah!

Currently it is 37F, up from 19F and heading for 58F. No breeze yet, later the winds will be out of the WSW @ 6 to 7mph.

Yesterday was pretty much a bust. Got nothing done after the group brunch. I did take Chris out for dinner. ;)

Today will be church, then more church and ending the day at church. It must be getting close to Christmas!

Boiled eggs, bacon, toast & a Pepsi to start the morning.

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:
