Has anyone tried to the next size profile tire to lower suspension?

There is 1 mph difference at 70mph and less at lower speeds. Besides ST1100 speedos were never accurate from the factory. Once upon a time, devices like the Halda Speedpilot came with an assortment of gears so that you could sync actual distance covered over the ground with the device. Alas, those days are long since gone (more or less thankfully).
