Hi!
Is there any one out there using a Wind Rider Seat Cover and what size would it? be. No response from the company when i reached out to them.
Thanks.
Peter

Hi Peterz.
Did I mention the seat cover I've used on my ST1300 and Triumph Trophy. They are great! It was benefit on the ST to keep my crotch area cooler from all that V4 heat and comfortable too. I liked it so much I ordered another one.
The source I found was thru a different supplier. If its the identical product then I'd keep your costs down and order locally. The company includes found was over seas.
Good luck.

I bought something like the wind rider, but from Temu, for my NC700X. It works ok, not sure if the Wind Rider is thicker, or better made, but the Temu one was very inexpensive. It does cool a bit in the high humidity summers we have in Georgia.

ze GF has one on her NT700VA and loves the thing; does what its supposed to, venting in summer, drainage in a downpour...

I however cannot fit it on the ST1100, as the fabric/mesh is really thick (like 10mm), so it won fit between seat and false tank, nor towards side covers and tail-cone...

So methinks it won't fit the ST1300 either, and rather suggest a mesh cover with straps like sold on Amazon:

got one and it does provide venting and drainage quite well...

I have one on an RT and I cant find fault with it. While I dont have the heat issue usually associated with the ST, it does help to cool the crotch. I thought it would move around and be awkward, but it stays planted , as does your butt. It adds a bit of cushioning which is a help to me and the added thickness/height isnt noticeable to me. Overall, I would say it is a good product, although i think it s a little pricey. Its not mind-blowing, but it does what it claims. There are other brands on the other chinese sites that would probably work just as well for likely less money.

I've been using 3d mesh seat covers for years. Keeps you cool - also stops hot spots and pressure points that can get irritating. I've looked at expensive ones and really cheap ones and the material looks exactly the same. I think just the sizing and mounting methods may be different. These covers really do adapt easily to all kinds of different shapes and sizes of seats. I use black parachute cord on the bottom of the seat and lace the cover on to match the seat contours.

Just search for 3d mesh motorcycle seat covers on Google and you will find many different suppliers - most of the 3d mesh covers are identical.

Hi Dave. I bought the Cool Cover from London. They had it in stock and with the shipping it was around 80.00 It looks a little stonger than the Wind Rider on my Strom. Thanks for the tip.

When it arrives can you advise on any Customs duties? I'm leery of ordering anything outside the US just because of potential surprise duties. I've talked to people who've had duties assessed double the cost of the item. In years past duties were rare. But I've known some people who've successfully appealed and got duties lowered or dismissed. Those of late told me they haven't been successful.

Good to hear Peterz.
Someone mentioned about another brand and tried to swap it to an ST1100. Cool Covers doesn't make one. That's a surprise because of there are alot in Europe.20210911_100431.jpg Interestingly they didn't have one for the ST1300 when I first ordered but they designed one within a few months later. It was such a great choice. My challenge was finding two solutions - long ride comfort and keep cool and dry. I'm really happy with the purchase. I believe the other mesh/cell covers are not as good a quality.
My two cents.
Dave

ST Gui, shipping was less than 16.00 to the states. No VAT applied = A tax on imported goods, paid in addition to other duties due. It is called a "value-added" tax because it is applied throughout the supply chain - on everything from the point of raw materials up to manufacturing and retail. I have never heard of this before. There were no duty fees on my bill.

Yeah we don't to VAT in the US. I've seen VAT listed on international sites similar to seeing sales tax listed on US sites.

I'm glad that there was no tariff/customs duties. $16 for international shipping doesn't seem bad. As may have mentioned previously I've talked to people who have been stunned by duties approaching the cost of an item and it one case exceeding the cost of the item. Duties if deemed appropriate by CBP are assessed in addition to whatever price the international vendor charges the customer.

I've order a lot of items over the years from outside the US. In that time shipping wasn't nearly as pricey as it is now. There was also the de minimus exemption in place at those times. Anything with a value under some threshold entered the US duty free. It as eliminated last year. So I'm leery of ordering anything outside the US. $16 is livable.

Thanks for the info.
