Good morning all!

There's French Roast in the pot, along with some birthday cake muffins. If it's your birthday, Happy Birthday! Let me put a candle in your muffin. Careful though, don't burn yourself.

It's a clear 1C here this morning with fog in the low lying areas. It's headed to 12 and sunny, but I'll be inside most of the day as I'm at work.

Have seen quite a few bikes out lately in the evenings, as the weather's getting nicer. Still lots of grit on the roads though, so I'm waiting.

Hope everyone has a great Saturday.

Obo.

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee, Obo. It's not my birthday today but I'll accept a muffin in advance.

It's 57°F and clear in Rockville, headed for sunny and 83. According to the Windows weather app there's a 1 percent chance of rain around 2200 hours. ONE percent. Really? Why do they bother?

Although I never got out for a ride or paddle yesterday turned into an enjoyable extended ukulele playing day, interrupted now and again by small requests for assistance from Mrs. Fun as she labored to clean up and clean out the chaos created by her having received several loads of donations to the JACL raffle coming up in December along with the trailerload we brought home from PA. There's a lot more to be done, but she's showing resolve at getting through it.

Last night's sleep pattern was typical of what I've had of late. Those long periods of wakefulness in the wee hours, coupled with the ensuing on-again-off-again pattern, really have got to stop.

Today's agenda for me includes getting started on the furniture refinishing task Mrs. Fun asked me to take on.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Obo.

It's 48 and mostly cloudy in MA this morning, rising to 56 for today's high temperature. Winds should be 8-10mph.

Yesterday's car event went off okay, but we did need to stop for a bit due to rain and lightning. I started out working in turn 4, but they moved me to 9 after lunch. Good for me, since I could drive the truck to the turn, and importantly camp out in it during the rain.

One of the cats discovered how to nudge open the door to the computer room, upstairs, and I found Monica laying on the bed there as I came downstairs. After this morning's feeding frenzy it got quiet, and I assumed that they'd all gone there. Nope. The other two are laying about downstairs.

Today, I'll hang out at the house, trying to prepare for my hospital visit and immobilization. Brenda mentioned moving the garden tractor, and she'll bring the battery up from the cellar, where it's been on a battery tender all winter. I'll install that, then we'll move things around in the shed so I can bring the snowblower inside. There are a few peculjaralities about the tractor that I'll need to show her. The belt for the mower, for instance, tends to occasionally fall off of the drive pully. I had a hard time sourcing one, and the shop installed one that's a little too long. I still need to send up the Bat Signal to have our son Joe help move AC units downstairs.

Have a great day,
Steve

Thanks for the start Obo but I think I'll "tea" off once the whistle blows, wait for coffee to magically appear a bit later
Those rocks look exactly like the fill in an outdoor fountain I've worked on Apparently, when it's flowing correctly along it's 300 odd foot length the algae
that grows on the rocks performs some natural cleaning
Might be getting more into the water conditioning / treatment side of things; I always said I'd go dragged kicking and screaming if I ever got mixed up
with either filtration or water chemistry but maybe it comes with age - go with the flow
We got the song birds out now for at least half an hour and another group of not sure what they're called the chorus of the birds breaking the silence
before all the humans go racing about their saturday
Weather looks good, no rain [yet] might get a short ride in before the peak madness
Glad to hear some guys are getting their bikes out toward the other side of the continent
Wish everyone a safe and enjoyable ride if you're able and if you're not there's always other stuff

Good morning. Thanks for the coffee, Obo.

62/75, with heavy rain expected in a couple of hours. It’s been dry, way too long.

It’s an enjoyable morning on the deck, watching the clouds roll in and hand feeding the needy Nutchatch. He landed next to me and patiently waited for me to shell a peanut for him. I believe he’s part of the Gen Z species, wanting everything handed to him. He also squawks the loudest, when not fed.

Thoughts to ponder. Is a group of Cowbirds called a herd?

John

Good morning, all, and thanks for the coffee, Obo!

Whelp, I must have read yesterday's weather forecast wrong, because it turned out to be an absolutely gorgeous day. Not long after I posted here, the sun came out and shone all day in a beautiful, blue sky with nary a cloud in sight. Go figure! It's a little overcast this morning but we should be in for another mainly sunny day, with the high reaching a whopping 23°C/73°F, which is making everyone positively giddy. Alas, the temps will plummet right back down again as Mother Nature can't seem to decide what she wants this year. The clouds will roll back in later this afternoon and the rain should start coming down around 8 pm and keep falling until sometime tomorrow afternoon. As the temps drop, we may even see some mixed rain/snow precip tomorrow and/or Monday, when we'll be back down to around -1°C/30°F! Crazy, I tell you.

That's all I got for now. Everybody have a good one, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

Good Morning and happy Saturday! Thanks Obo for coffee, fresh pot was made this Morning. Took a while to figure out the Electrical problem here yesterday. Ended up being a broken Neutral line from the Street Power Pole, pleasantly Pleased with BC Hydro, first call was only 16 minutes at 3:44 pm Service truck had power fixed by 6 pm, bloody amazing! Looks like it is going to be a nice day outside, most Clear Skies with a high of 17 C. Well going to have a Second cup of coffee, y'all have a great day G

Well, it is a lazy, wonderful Saturday with nothing on the schedule for once! No reffing, no rehearsal, nada. I get to sip and enjoy my FR and savor my breakfast of eggs, scrapple, toast, and home fried potatoes. Thank you Obo!

It is sunny and mild 76F/25C outside. Supposed to get rain tomorrow, so I'll probably run the mower over the lawn and get garage stuff done before being sequestered inside tomorrow.

One of the reasons I quit our synagogue was the lack of inclusion for our family. The men had a "CSS Club" (don't ask me what it stood for) where they would meet monthly, but I was never invited despite paying my dues and helping out. No, I'm not Jewish, but neither were several others. And we weren't perfect either, felt like I was walking on eggshells to please them. But, once our kids were done with bar/bat mitzvah, we stopped. I still keep in touch with several of them, but it is a sore spot for me after what we did for them. I'm glad you have a good thing, @Sadlsor, enjoy!

Ehh, maybe a load of laundry and vacuuming tomorrow. Dunno. Take care y'all!

Morning Obo & All from sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 45F, up from 21F and heading for 65F.

Yesterday, with the wind blowing and as cool as it was, I never got outside, other to get the mail. Not much got done. So today, I'll have to make up for it. One thing is the lawn needs mowing. Then it'll will be back at the greenhouse. There is a motorcycle show , I think in Sandy, about 200 miles north, but since I doubt they can match the old Long Beach motorcycle shows, I'm pretty sure it would be a big let down. And to travel that far up for a 30 minutes of walking through, it's just not worth it to me. :cautious:

Cold cereal to start the morning. Pepsi(s) on the menu for later.

Anyone :bk13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

How you interpret what they do is up to you.
They had that and a Breakfast Club of sorts. I'll continue to play ignorant on the former, but considering the anti-semitic attacks that were happening around the country it was/is a thing. For the latter, I'd rather be asked and allowed to decline than just left out. I'll not get further into the debate here, just want to be included or at least given the option.
