Good morning you lot!
Up and at it now!
Another mystery brew for you to enjoy!
We had the pleasure of a stay at a truck stop hotel in Willington, Connecticut.
We are about to make the final run into New Brunswick. I’ll drop my sister off and then head west, back home, hopefully if the run goes well, I’ll attend a pals send off! So, with my apologies to Obo and Catcher, I will motor home, to the best of my abilities.
Currently 53F with a high of 72 & wet, very wet!

She's bravely battling the heat, picking weeds, rummaging in the garden...

finally got TLCFTSA out for a ride to the brother in laws for a short visit
had a vietnamese three blend [?] coffee surprise which was surprisingly good
Looks like a couple of days of rain here; dipping to 13 [55 there about] then around 16 at least til midweek
perfect timing, the sort of grass getting sort of dry and water restrictions in place - time for rocks... rocks everywhere and maybe a cactus...
resumed work on the delayed work in progress VStar, and made some progress, I think :unsure:

10C here and rainy, headed up to 14 later on. As the temps go up, the rain shall fall faster they say.

Back at 'er Monday it is, so that's what I must do I guess. At least I'm not asking anyone if they'd like to up-size their combo for a dollar.

It's 43 and cloudy in MA this morning, rising to 73, later. We'll probably see a morning showers.

Speaking of showers ...
We had rain all day at the track, and the cold eventually made it more miserable.
Fortunately , those in charge wanted to be home, too, so they combined groups , canceled corner marshal breaks, and got us out at 430, rather than 6:30
My heated base layer ran out of juice , toward the end.

I've got nothing planned for today .
I've got to repack my rain gear, so it'll be ready for the next time.
Other tasks, as assigned ...

It's Memorial Day here, making it not "just another Monday" for those in the U.S. We're honoring all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation.

In Rockville it's foggy and 62°F, going to be cloudy as it rises to 77. Chances of rain persist until mid-morning.

The inlaws clear out sometime later today and the House of Fun will return to quiet tranquility.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

But it best not be decaf.
Somehow, I am feeling just a tetch (Southern word) ornery or contradictory.
My first pot of coffee is nearly at its consumptive end. Which means it's almost all gone.
Initially, I was going to say i don't have much to say, but upon reading those who came before me today, I'm inclined to just toss out some mild objections...

At the risk of sounding like a hypocrite, I won't even attempt to correct it, as I usually have to go back and correct the autokorrekt suggestions in most of my own posts.
But there's a good chance you meant "vittles", another Southern word.
On the other hand, aren't vittles vital?
I would argue they are.
Anyhoo... as i was going to say, I don't really have much to say.
Except for this land, and all that we have, it is entirely appropriate to pause and reflect on all those who we may never know, who gave everything they had, so that we might live in this great nation.
We still have problems, but I submit that without their sacrifice over our 250 years, things could be much worse. And likely would be.
They are worth remembering.
So enjoy your day.

Assuming he crosses at Woodstock. He could also cross at St. Stephen as it's a tiny bit shorter to get to NS that way.
 
Good Morning, me need to wipe the tears from my eyes, some reason reading the postings this morning hit a emotional spot. Thanks Brian for coffee,safe travels. Keith,thanks for Lincoln's Speech, first time for me to read that speech. Forgive the Canadian, for some reason never read it in school, wonder why. Well today's agenda has changed as it's Raining and a cool 55 F, wind at 7 mph gusting 13 mph, so staying indoors. Last a Salute to all that have Defended Freedom, G
 
Morning Brian & All from mostly sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 65F, up from 47F and heading for 76F. Clouds will get a little thicker and 50% possible thunderstorms later in the day. We'll see if anything hits the ground. no breeze yet, but later the winds will be out of the S @ 9 to 13mph.

Thinking of those that gave their all so this country could survive! :usflag1:

At church yesterday, our neighbor told me to come get the 4 rolls grass sitting on the Landscaper's trailer, after we got home I went out, got my tractor and picked them up. I also went through the pile of scrap they had from trimming. It added a few more square feet of grass in the back yard. ;)

Once Chris wakes up, we'll get some breakfast. Pepsi(s) for later.

As Canadians, we don't celebrate Memorial Day. We instead have Remembrance Day on November 11th. Same purpose of the day (to an extent), just celebrated on different days.

If I've got my ducks in a row... while the US also has Veteran's Day on Nov 11th, the American Memorial Day in May is more akin to our Remembrance Day. Memorial Day grew out of Civil War commemorations to commemorate those who died in military service, while Veterans Day (and Women Veterans Day in some states) is honouring retired military veterans. They also have Armed Forces Day. for active serving military.

We sort of sum up those who died, veterans, and active military all into Remembrance Day up here.

I imagine in school though, you've read "In Flanders Fields" by John McCrae, and may even know some (or all) of it by heart. I doubt many of our US friends have ever had to read, learn or recite that, growing up.
