If anyone has a set of speaker pods for sale I would gladly pay for shipping as the search has yielded no results for 2 years.

I have a Rifle screen that is pretty tall, ~25 inches. $75 if you want it. It comes with the mounting adapters (needed to adapt Rifle's mounting the ST1300's system). I will also throw in a cut down "shorty" Rifle screen for those hot Texas days. ;) Check out the pics and let me know if you are interested.

Shipping might be pretty steep but I am in the DFW area so if you are close you could swing by and save the shipping.

Somewhere, there was once a how-to about using plastic electrical boxes that fit in where the OEM speaker boxes would have gone. There were even recommended waterproof marine speakers that they spec'd too that fit in those boxes. I'm guessing those got lost in the Great Unplanned Purge of 2026.

A quick Google AI search provided the following:

Using plastic electrical junction boxes (like 4x4-inch or double-gang PVC boxes) is a classic, budget-friendly DIY hack within the motorcycle community to mount aftermarket 3.5-inch or 4-inch marine speakers inside the front inner fairing of a Honda ST1300. While Honda manufactures OEM speaker enclosures for roughly $10 to $20, utilizing electrical boxes offers a thicker, more rigid enclosure that improves sound resonance and resists weather damage. Choosing the Right Electrical Box
  • Material: Use PVC (plastic) boxes only. Avoid metal boxes, which create horrible metallic acoustic reflections and pose a short-circuit risk to your speaker terminals.
  • Size: A 4" x 4" square PVC junction box or a deep double-gang PVC device box fits standard 3.5-inch or slim 4-inch motorcycle/marine speakers perfectly.
  • Depth: Choose a "deep" box style (at least 2 to 2.5 inches) to ensure the speaker magnet does not bottom out against the back panel.

Step-by-Step Build Guide

  1. Prep the Box Face: Cut or sand down any internal screw alignment tabs inside the rim of the PVC box that prevent the speaker from sitting completely flush.
  2. Mount the Speaker: Center your speaker over the open face of the box. Drill pilot holes into the PVC rim and secure the speaker using stainless steel, rust-proof screws.
  3. Create Wire and Vent Holes: Drill a small 1/4-inch hole in the bottom or back of the box to route your positive and negative speaker wires.
  4. Acoustic Tuning: Stuff the inside of the box loosely with Poly-fil (synthetic pillow stuffing) before sealing it. This tricks the speaker into performing as if it is in a much larger enclosure, producing cleaner mid-bass.
  5. Weather Proofing: Run silicone sealant around the wire exit hole and the lip where the speaker meets the PVC box to keep water out. [1, 2]

Installation in the ST1300 Fairing
To mount your DIY pods, you will need to gain access behind the dashboard:
  • Access: Remove the upper windshield, front mirror housings, and the main gauge panel.
  • Placement: Position the electrical boxes directly behind the left and right mesh speaker grilles molded into the ST1300's inner fairing dash panel.
  • Securing: Because you cannot easily bolt through the fairing, use heavy-duty UV-resistant zip ties or plumbing hanger straps to wrap securely around the PVC box and anchor them tightly to the steel fairing sub-frame tubes.
  • Wiring: Run the speaker wires down through the fairing voids into the left or right fairing glove pockets, where most riders hide a compact Bluetooth amplifier.

I am reconsidering selling the speaker pods. What are you thinking they're worth? Make me an offer I can't refuse?

I can definitely pick those up in person. I’m in north ATX and that would be a very short drive (in TX terms😂)
