Good morning everyone

The Cubano roast is ready for you. Please slurp quietly- Obo had a long day yesterday and will have another today, so he needs his rest. Martin, welcome home. Sorry about the loss of your job but it doesn't sound as though you'll miss it much. You were clearly very unhappy for quite a while before the guillotine dropped.

It's 68°F in Rockville (71 or so at my house). Partly sunny with a high around 88 is expected.

It could be another day where I go for a paddle on the Potomac, if I can muster the ambition to get there. Or perhaps a bike ride, though honestly I'm pretty sure I don't have the mental oomph required to make that happen.

Yesterday's Play Music on the Porch event went off very well. We had about a dozen strummers out in front of the store, and received numerous appreciative honks and thumbs-up from the traffic and passers-by. The store owners were very pleased to have us, and it was a beautiful day, so it was a win for everyone.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

I considered being productive today...
Then the coffee suggested we sit quietly instead... :coffee:

G'Day...

17°/31°C blue skies, glaring sunshine with a Sahara dust haze...

still at my place (ze GF already headed over to hers), washer is running, a/c already on, catching up on some series, relaxing...

Will head over to hers later in the day...

Well, its Sunday, not much going on besides chores and packing bike luggage away... 😎

Good morning and thanks for the coffee , Keith.
Our cat, Laguna, made sure that I was an early riser this morning.
After feeding the cats, it's pretty nice to enjoy the morning silence .

It's 59 and clear, becoming partly sunny as the temperature rises to 81.

Yesterday's track day went off well. No racing occurred, but cars were on the track until we ended at 10:00pm, although there were less and less of them after dark. We got to use the electronic flagging system , once it got dark, though there's no electronic black flag to stop. Then again, any flag is a black flag in the dark.
I also got to see Venus, I think, set as the almost full moon rose.

Today , I have no plans to speak of. Maybe a dog walk and a visit to Home Depot.
Dinner at our favorite Chinese restaurant.

Enjoy your day,
Steve

Thanks Keith.
Glad to hear no one busted a thumb or broke a string yesterday.
And good will is always good will.
Put the lower splash guard on the Element yesterday, so it's ready for Roz to use while she had her car shopped for a new set of tire pressure monitors, and a couple new tires.
I watched the temp gauge closely as I drove around town for an hour to buy dog food and put gas in the car.
You might say I watched it nervously, but it never quite got to the middle, so I'm calling it good.
In fact, I was so inspired by my success that I thought I'd tackle the non- functional blinkeryesterday. lighters on the ST, but by the time I got the tools out, it was 15 minutes to sunset.
Looked through the relevant pages of my Honda Service Manual, so I'll start today - hopefully - with their troubleshooting guide.
Except Roz wants me to cut the back yard, which didn't get done yesterday.
I'll start another thread for the illumination restoration project.
Hopefully it will also be an illuminating project.
(Had to say that before @Obo appears.)
Off to church now, to push buttons and show slides and videos.
Enjoy your Day of Rest, the best you can.

You seem to be a bright guy, not a dim bulb, so I'm sure you'll light the way and act as a beacon (or a ray, maybe even a Ray) of light in the darkness.

Thx Keith, master of ukes and cubanos!

16˚c/61f, overcast, 15mph breeze from northwest.

Yesterday I found another seven lugnut studs damaged (PFFFFFT!!!), so today I’ve replaced them.
Cleaning and greasing the brakes while I were at it.

In two days I’m going on my annual eight day fishing adventure, with my fishing buddy…

Sorry for you loss @ST1100Y Martin !!

Have a good one!
Stu

thanks for the start it's kicking horse kick ass for me (what a name for coffee) it's got a bit of a kick to it though probably more so since Im a tea drinker through the week
14 - 19C and a bit of welcome rain till noon maybe in Coquitlam
Will get a plate on the Yamaha Vstar and run the BSR37 twin carbs under various conditions, review of my pic dates shows Ive had them in and out since February trying to get the front cylinder to make some heat, finally it decided that I suffered enough, I'm the unwitting recipient of devine intervention, or I fixed it.
While I may never know for sure, what I can be certain of is that if it runs like the dream it is, and I start musing on my technical abilities and perseverance, Ill be pushing it home
Probably uphill 🤬
Wish everyone a safe ride and remember if you see another motorcyclist stranded always stop and lend a hand
Especially if it's blue

Good Morning, thanks Keith. This morning going peacefully, woke up five minutes before alarm was to go off. Airport gate already opened by one of the tenants. Breakfast was the usual eggs and toast and Coffee. Got a chuckle watching Precious dreaming as she sleeps beside me, dang dog is so cute. Phone says 58 F and Cloudy high 66 F (time to stop shaving face) fall is just around the corner. Right hand is almost healed up, so tomorrow ( Monday) hopefully go for a ride. Today's agenda, quick trip to the Grocery store, that's all folks, G
I lie Y'all have a great day G

Morning Keith & All from mixed clouds & Sun in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 80F, heading to 83F, with more possibilities of more thunderstorms. The winds have been blowing from the SSW @ 13mph and later, 21 to 25mph.

Nothing yesterday, but when I woke up at 3:45AM, and couldn't get back to sleep, so I went out to the Great Room and sit/laying on the sofa, I kept seeing flashing from some place, so I looked out the front window, and I could see lots of lightning off to the north west. Someone was getting pounded! :nuke1:

Not much else going on yesterday nor today. We have church in a couple of hours.

Boiled eggs, bacon, toast & OJ with Hot Lemon/Honey tea. Pepsi(s) for later.

Anyone :dr13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:
