Good morning from the deep forest!
Coffee is ready, it’s instant, better than nothing I suppose.
Perhaps.
Maybe…have to think about it.

Yesterday was a nine hour scenic drive.
Co-pilot fell asleep quite often.

Fishing on the lake last night.
So quiet here.
Fish won, by the way…

Today is fixing bits and bobs in the cabin.
Tomorrow we’re driving on gravel roads for like ten hours, to get to the next cabin.
Glad I have new tyres.
A border crossing to Sweden is in the plans.

18c/64, sunny, calm, beuatiful.

Have a good one!
Stu

I woke up, got out of bed, had coffee...
Methinks that's enough for one day... :coffee:

G'Day...

16°/28°C and glaring sunshine... ☀️
no fishy actions here, except ze GF will drop the letter-bomb to my former employer in the mail today...

already on my second mug... ☕

will have to restock soon, so likely a grocery run in the afternoon once ze GF comes home from da office...
(yeah, unemployed and broke also means to change from OEM Nespresso to some pattern capsules... :cautious:)

no actual plans other then that, maybe sifting through some job adds, but I'm blocked till after mid October anyway...

the bike shop should get tidied up, parts stash prepped for eBay sales... not highly motivated though...

DIL is threatening with a job/project though...
apparently he plans to get a 5 panel photovoltaic system with battery storage for their house...
the problem: every PV company he calls up declines... a too minor job for them...
so likely ending up as a DIY project...
but pops in his 80ies shouldn't climb around on the roof anymore...
that's where I come into play... 😁
still owning my safety harness plus a $h!tload of cordless power tools might support the idea...

have a great hump-day 😎

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the insta-caff, Stu. I can almost hear the peace and serenity, just by looking at your photo.

It's 73°F and clear in Rockville at the moment. What's odd about that is that the Windows weather app shows a 35 percent chance of light rain, an hour from now, but only for about an hour so it shouldn't adversely affect my plan to go play goof (again; third day in a row) later in the morning. The high will be around 92 and it'll be humid as all-get-out.

I spoke with Mrs. Fun yesterday, first time since she departed, two weeks ago tomorrow. She'll be back home in another week and a half. All seems to be going okay in PA, though evidently there's some friction between the aunt and the sister who's giving her care. Can't say I'm particularly surprised, but I'm very, very glad not to be in the middle of it.

Nothing else to report.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Morning all, and thanks for the coffee Stu.

It's instant, there's no boat a doubt it.

10C and fog patches for the ride in to work. Cold and fog makes it seem even chillier. Gets into your bones. Maybe I'm just getting old man syndrome? Later on it's supposed to warm up to 23 with sun and clouds.

Lots to do at work today, and not stuff I can put off until next week. Best get at 'er.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Obo.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee start , Stu.
Brenda baked some banana bread, and I'll add that to the mix.

It's cloudy and 60 in MA this morning, and it'll rise to 70 with on and off clouds throughout the day.

I did what I'd planned, yesterday , but our First Tuesday meet up was lightly attended. The five of us had some good conversation , though.

Today, I'll head over to the track in Thompson, for The Club car event, there. I'll take advantage of the time on-station to do my Achilles rehab exercises, during each track session.
We'll find dinner somewhere, afterward.

Have a great day,
Steve

Good morning all!
Thanks for the instant start, Stu!
Enjoy your time away!

We had a wicked storm here on the Bruce Peninsula last night! I was happily sleeping through it all until I wasn’t!
Presently 72F with a wet high of 77 predicted.

I have been busy planning upgrades to my new digs. Next year, it’s a new shop/garage. It’s growing in size, right now it’s 50’ X 70’.
Current plans are holding up my moving in. I don’t want to try living in a mess like I have during projects when I was still working.
The kitchen isn’t anything close to what it needs to be, it’s new but not ideal!
Enjoy your day!

@Whisker Bill 50x70 is a decent size. Makes my 24x44 seem small.
What height roof you thinking? Loft storage too?
I’m building thinking of the next owner, high & wide doors with high walls, with a thick cement floor. I’ll leave it ready to add a loft if required.

Good morning, all, and thanks for the camp coffee, Stu! That looks lovely and peaceful. Enjoy your quiet time, but don't end up "swimming with the fishes," capeesh?

It's a grey, overcast day here. 21°C/70°F feeling like 24°C/75°F right now, high of 24°C/75°F with a humidex of 30°C/86°F later. Can you say "muggy?" I knew you could. Rain will start falling sometime around 3 pm, high chance of heavy rain and thunderstorms later in the afternoon and throughout the evening. I'm not going anywhere, I'll be working.

@steve3b3: I'll send you my fruit fly; it'll add a certain "je ne sais quoi" to the banana bread! Mind you, it hasn't been pestering me for a day or two, so it might have expired on its own.

OK, gotta motor. Everybody have a good one, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

Morning Stu & All from mostly sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 71F, heading for 81F and today is supposed to be :wind1:. The winds are coming from the SSW @ 10 to 15 mph, and later, they'll be blowing @ 24 to 39 mph. It looks like the thunderstorms moved off to the east, so for a couple of days, besides the winds, it will be dry.

Latest Weather App prediction, has some rain on the 14th, but as we get closer to WeSTOC 30, it will be closer to being accurate! Maybe...

Chris and I sat down last night and sorted out the handouts for WeSTOC 30. We came up short for one of the handouts, so I'll stop by the Welcome Center and pick up what I need to finish them up.

Today is Wednesday, so that means I get to go out and mow & trim the the lawns and try to control what weeds are out there.

Once Chris wakes, we'll get some breakfast. I restocked the Garage fridge yesterday, so there are plenty of Pepsis in it for later.

Anyone :dr13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Morning all! Mix of sun and clouds with rain to come. 13C right now, a high of 17C later.

Great pic Stu! Beware the Swedes, they're evil with their build your own furniture and bikini teams.

Had a fun time yesterday going a full 15 rounds with the Canada Revenue Agency (Cdn taxman). I appreciate that it cannot be fun working in their call centre but one of the four agents I talked to was just an obstructive prick. And you could tell he was enjoying being obstructive. Must have worked at Air Canada in a previous life.....

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning and thanks Stu for the coffee. I finally found my misplaced cup and thought I would fill it up.
76 with a rainy day ahead and that pretty much sums up the week ahead.

Two hurricanes in the vicinity with Cat4 Lowell 450 miles south and Karina to the East, tracking North of the islands. Lowell is predicted to turn due North after passing Hawaii. Hopefully not another Iniki which devastated Kauai.

Pondering life yesterday, I realized that due to my upcoming Birthday this month and the dogs in December, our timelines will cross and we will be the same age for awhile. Maybe we'll both get an extra biscuit to celebrate.

Take care!
