ze GF has left for the office, so I'm unsupervised again... ;)
expecting a call confirming appointment at the Chamber of Labor to apply my case...
turns out they have a branch office here in the city, sparing me the one hour drive to their HQ for the 'district of Lower Austria'...
prepared a ring binder with all the papers, service contract, salary slips, termination of employment... xerox away...

intend to top up the solar collector DHW circuit with antifreeze, pressure has dropped (again!!! :cautious:), pump tends to gargle upon start...
obtained a hand-pump bolted to a metal tank, will have to test it first out in the garden to see if the check-valve works, before
splashing around with that sticky glycol down in the basement... 💦

Morning all, and thanks for the startup Martin.

I'll debate "tirsdag" as it sound a lot like "tirsday" which around here with one's accent is the day before Friday.

7C and overcast for the ride into work. Jacket liner and heated grips were required to make it comfy. No accident delays or whatnot today.

17 and sun for the ride home, if the weather guessers have it right.

Hope everyone has a great day and gets what's coming to them. (That wasn't supposed to sound mean or vindictive..... or was it? Muah-ha-ha.....)

It's 53 going to 62 in MA today.

Yesterday's plan came to fruition , with a gym visit, range time, and a visit with our Son and family.

Brenda reminded me before bedtime that I've got a track day to work today, so I guess that's where I'll be.

Thanks for the start Martin, and I don't care all that much what the day is called. It's travel day for us, catching the train back to Maryland.

In Boston it's 56°F and cloudy; at home it's 60°F with high chances of rain. Meh.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.
 
Good morning from the north shore of Lake Erie . warm here today at 16 C and going up to 22 C with sunshine all day .Grass needs to be trimmed and other yard work done . Had to ren
move a dead maple tree last week so cutting it up for firewood has been a lot of work but all the twigs are gone only some wood left in front . Had a really good Onstoc last week so time to prep for the fall colours and leaf dropping . Enjoy your day and stay safe EH .

I've never had sunflower bread, but I do like sunflowers.
I hope you don't keep peanut butter in the refrigerator... PB sounds like it might be good on sunflower toast.
And it seems the coffee club is not as crowded, of late.
Guess it's my fault, as I wasn't here yesterday.
It rained a lot.
More today, seems likely.
Got to take Roz to a new neurologist for her aches and pains, and it appears these visits are ever more becoming a waste of time. No one knows anything, no one has a plan.
And she has seen so many ortho folks and spinal folks and physical therapists and even neurosurgeons and neurologists, they are now contradicting each other.
Won't go into details, but it is concretely supporting my jaundiced and jaded opinion of medical "experts."
Remember, an "ex" is a has- been, and a "spurt" is a drip under pressure.
I'm sure there are good doctors out there.
Not that I've met any.
So on that positive, uplifting note... let's have another cup of coffee!

Morning Martin & All, from some clouds over Southern Utah!

Currently it is 59F, heading for 75F. Chris and I were woke up early this morning, around 2AM, with loud thunder and some rain. we got 0.15". With more possible thunderstorms later in the day.

We got back from SoCal last night. Whirlwind trip. But besides the wedding (of Chris's dentist's son) we were able to see our youngest son and family. And we stopped in Las Vegas, on our way home, to see Chris's 97 YR old aunt, and one of her cousins. On the most part, it was a good trip, except, we get to do it again in two weeks! :rolleyes:

WeSTOC 30 was a great success, anyway, that's what everyone said! I still have some loose ends to take care of, but for the most part, it's done! And Now I have to get a bunch of stuff around here done, before the weather gets too nasty.

Once Chris gets up, we'll get some breakfast. There are still some cold Pepsis in the ice chest.

Thanks for the coffee and sunflower bread Martin, hold the glycol please. I remember that sticky stuff from the telescope chilled water system.

Currently 72 and raining, a tropical island indeed. Finished the backup cam install on the wife's car yesterday, fishing the wire through the hatchback door and tying everything up reminded me of the aviation days. Now that the car is finished I'll be back to painting things.

Reminds me of that Bad Co. song, I was born paint brush in my hand...

G'dafternoon from the office! It's a cool and damp day here. Keith you're not missing much, it's a good day to travel by train for sure. 62F/17C and that's after 2 cups. Thanks, Martin!

Nothing exciting just figured I'd check in. Weekend was quiet. Got the friend's JD Tractor done, just awaiting pickup. Turned attention to a Poulan chainsaw I picked up from the lady I mentioned before who's dad passed away. It's a 20-inch saw whereas mine is merely 16 inches. Could be a good upgrade if it is reliable enough, it's easier to start with no primer bulb, but I believe it is older than mine too. Comes in a nice but bulky case. Haven't decided yet..wonder if I can wander out to a nearby wooded area and "test" it out on fallen trees.
