Good morning everyone

The Cubano roast is in the pot and ready to be enjoyed. Have at it!

It's 49°F and clear in Rockville; mostly sunny (after Mr. Sun rises at 0657) and a high around 64 are expected.

It's Thursday, making it uke day for me. It's the 24th of September, making it the anniversary of Mrs. Fun's arrival on the planet. We'll go for dinner to celebrate.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Please get her something nice from all of us and send us the bill.

Cold ride into work this morning at only 2C. It was overcast with fog in only the low lying areas for the 1st half of the ride, but then there was a literal wall of fog you passed into and continued for the next half. The Sun should burn that off later as it headed up to 20 for the ride home.

Yesterday was @Happy Rob 's birthday. I also let him know Mrs. Obo and I are making another Newfoundland trip next year, hopefully to attend the Brigus Blueberry Festival with them again. Brigus is a small coastal town and every year they have a blueberry based festival. When we were there in 2024 we attended the Saturday night's street party. They cordon off a section of downtown and at night they have live bands play on large tent covered stages. It's quite the shindig. Next year is the 38th annual event in August. If you're about, come join us!

Happy birthday to Mrs Fun!

Brenda tossed the cat out of the bedroom, when she came in at 5:00am so I got to sleep until 6:30.

It's sunny and 46 in MA this morning, rising to 64, later.
I usually open the sliding door for the cats to look outside through the screen , but it's getting cool enough to start keeping it shut.
This weekend's coming storm is all over the news, today. And yesterday, and Tuesday.
I'm SO looking forward to working at the motorcycle track days on Saturday and Saturday.

I managed a walk with the neighbor's dog , yesterday, but didn't make it to the gym.

I'll do that today , while Brenda is bowling.

Been up for awhile, but not a long as you. Stopped by an hour ago and this Unread Post hadn't showed up yet on the phone... it hadn't refreshed, I suppose.
Thought about starting us off, but usually someone comes in and posts before I finish (do I type too long? too much? don't answer that.) and we end up with two starters, making Joe work extra to clean it up.
Now I'm glad I didn't.
I said yesterday I'd try not to whine about the seasons, so...
Just to mention, came outside to drink my first cup. It was still dark. The light in the sky, not just the coffee.
And it hadn't yet reached 70... so wore a jacket.
Like, ...REALLY?!?!
And then it started sprinkling.
Went in to fill my mug, came back outside and set the cup down on the brick ledge. In the dark, it wasn't fully in the bricks, so it fell right off, onto the driveway.
Remarkably, the ceramic mug didn't break... but I didn't get to drink anything of what I had poured in it.
Darn!
Another trip upstairs for another coffee refill, and back outside.
Now it's raining.
Darn!
But here's the good news... I'm not complaining!
(Muttering pfffttt under my breath.)

Don't know much about it, but I like most of Pitt's movies (Meet Joe Black, A River Runs Through It, Spy Game [!]), and I like German Shepherds.

This is just a quick note to let Y'all know that I'm still here, just working flat out to deliver a big project on time.
The weather's been gorgeous for the past several days, though the temperatures are decidedly in "early autumn" mode now. The current temp is 12°C/54°F but feels like 10°C/50°F, and we're looking at a still pleasant high of 20°C/68°F with lots of blue sky and sunshine. The foliage is also starting to turn...I'll get a couple of pics when I can.

Welp, it's back to the salt mine for me. Everyone have a great day, stay safe and go safely. Later, gaters.

Morning all! Overcast and grey with rain on the way. 12C now, high of 16C later.

It's been busy at work the last little while, which is great. The day zooms by and I'm occupied so no getting into trouble (otherwise I'm like an unoccupied portly border collie...without the smarts). Have a three day hearing booked for November across the water. So what does the court do? Books it for Nov 9, 10 & 12th. :eek-2x:

The forecast calls for 100% chance of rain, it's raining now, so they got that right. The potential hurricane is supposed to head Northeastward this morning for a couple of days and then hang a hard left before the Big island. The guessers are uncertain when that turn will happen.

@Sadlsor, Mark it's OK to cry over spilled coffee, that's why they used milk in the idiom.

Stay safe!! and cancel your Hawaii travel plans.

I bet the conversation went something like this:

"I can either buy a new motorcycle, or sing you my rendition of "Happy, Oh Happy Birthday, Mrs. Fun" accompanied by my uke."

"OK then, a new motorcycle it is."
