Please help. North Carolina

I recently had a thermostat come apart - one of the soldered legs broke off.
If this was 'all of a sudden' then probably the thermostat.
Just for grins check the front of the radiator to see how much crude is caught in the fins outside.
Also, how many miles on the engine?
Usually water pump issues are the bearing go bad, they leak or the impeller is worn out.
It normally takes a lot of miles or corrosion to wear out the impellers.
I had a pump fail at 130,000+ miles and one to leak at 140,000+ miles.

If you haven’t pulled the thermostat yet, maybe start it up and see if goes through a normal warm up time from stone cold.

Thanks everyone for your advice. Glad to report the bike is fixed. (Culprit thermostat pictured)edit: after a test ride i suspect the old thermostat was weak for a long time. I can now do long hill climbs at 40mph indicate without fan
