Any changes/upgrades to your bike this winter?

Maybe a new windshield on my 1100. Currently have a 20" and it doesn't take the wind over my head with 2" risers. I added a Puig deflector but it's in my line of vision. On sunny days I can be looking through five layers of plastic. Polaroid sunglasses, smoked visor, clear shield, windshield and Puig deflector. Not ideal.

After a constant 6 - 7 years of refreshing, bling outs, upgrading, wrenching, rebuilding, polishing, chroming on my bikes, oddly I have nothing left to do, bikes are done! (Yay!)
My current to do job board looks like...:tongue-2x:

I am in the same position.
Reminds me of a tune Johnny Cash sang about me and my ST1300.
I’ve done everything man,
I’ve done everything man,
I’ve spent many hours in shop man,
I’ve done everything.

Besides Valves, brakes, coolant lines and lubing the shaft drive and rustproofing the swingarm I'm going to be cutting a scoop into the top of the air box and making Zoomie exhaust pipes to exit the sides of the fairing.

Install right glove box 'always on' power port, McCruise, VSYSTO dual cams, change fluids (clutch is getting a little tinge to it), wash/polish (for Jay), maybe also grip heaters on the 2010 - then it'll hopefully be set up for long distance comfort no matter the temp (that I'm willing to ride in anyway!)

Wash/polish and list the 2004 for sale (anybody want to talk early and get in on a good deal!?) because I don't need two bikes in the garage when I'm the only rider (and here come the comments...lol)

I was gifted a cruise control -- not Rostra - so that install is a possibility.
Need to do a valve check, change brake and clutch fluids.
I ride to work pretty much every day year round, and I don't like to have the ST unavailable for days at a time, and I work slowly.
Also gotta sort my dead turn signals, on another existing thread.

I need to "service" the :dr13: (2012) & the :bl13: (actually my 2004) and then get back to the AZ05 that I haven't done anything (except run it every now and then) to it since May 2025!

It's still in this condition: (well, was... I removed the windshield mechanism and sold that, so I need to get another one reconditioned for it. :(

I took off the right side to find the horn issue, contemplated pulling all the electrical add ons I did in the past 6 years. I was looking at it on the chock with the panel off, having just put new tires on and it made me feel sad, I put it back together and rode it (horn works). That made me feel better. Increasing the odometer reading will be my goal this winter.

I’ve been doing an alternator upgrade on my DNEPR/BMW, gotta say much easier to do than on a 1100. I got a new tub as well. I will be making a seat from scratch for the tub as well as floorboards. Going from a 180 W alternator to a 450 W unit opens the door to some farkles.
I hope to ride it through the Winter. ;)

Plan to order over the pond from Bikequip for parts. Time to repair the worn windshield gears.

BTDT

I like his gear & cables!

Note: the cables are made longer than needed,

but I took some plastic hose to protect them.

Thank you for the visual tutorial. I’m glad that you were pleased with his products. I purchased some tip over bars from him and thought they were well constructed/engineered.
Cheers

I still have this gear and cable kit in the parts cabinet,, for about 3 years now. The Laminar Lip that I installed as a temporary measure,,, worked so well that I never raise or lower the windscreen anymore. Just leave it fully down, %95 of the time. I will get the kit installed,,, one of these seasons,,, lol,,, CAt'

I still have a second kit, sitting in my parts, along with a number of striped down mechanisms.
