Good morning all

There's French roast coffee in the pot, ready and waiting for you. Come grab a cup and slurp some up. Or down, I suppose it ought to be, although that doesn't rhyme with "cup".

It's 44°F and clear in Rockville and feels like 34 thanks to the 8 mph W breeze. The high could reach 62- pleasant enough considering the time of year.

Yesterday I did nothing except rest, nap, lounge, and sleep. I may do more of that today, though I do have things that need doing and the available time to get them done before I depart for Japan is beginning to grow short.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Sounds like a good start Keith either way and a good way to spend a day once in a while
I took the VStar for what turns out wont be the last ride of the season; what was meant to run a bit of gas and exercise the battery well, it was too much fun just putting along the wet roads so Nov 15 looks like a nice easy date to mark the log instead
would never know by the weather app but tremendous dump of rain around 10:00 last night of course my back gate had to come loose fortunately I got everything covered and stowed ahead of time
will get my friends carbs back installed and see if we're still friends afterwards - people can get so grumpy, I can't understand; why can't we be more like those four carbs, all doing everything the same way in perfect harmony...it's the rest of the bike! It's an aberration I tell you! ... just rehearsing
Wish everyone a good ride if you're able and watch those wet leavesIMG_3353.jpegIMG_3367.jpegIMG_3360.jpegIMG_3356.jpegIMG_3394.jpegIMG_3394.jpeg

Thx Keith!
Seems like there’s an adventure waiting for you.

Yesterday was a lot of small stuff around the property, no sweat was produced.

Today is Fathers day over here…..will include a beach walk, my daughter and family may or may not come for a visit.

8˚c/46f, overcast, calm, salted roads….pfffft!

Have a quiet Sunday!
Stu

Todays situation…….seagulls eating the remains from the shrimps we had yesterday

Mornin’ y’all. Thanks for the French Roast, Keith. It’s comforting, on the brisk morning.

33 with very light frost. Sunny and clear, as it reaches 61 this afternoon. More yard work is scheduled, if I can summon up some energy.

Yesterday, I managed to mow my 1 1/2 acre lawn. I was assisted by Teddy’s the Wonder Dog, as he demonstrated his newfound skill of locating my next path, and then sitting there, in my path, to guide me. His other unique skill is finding the TV remote. He’ll locate the remote and lay down on it, to indicate where it is.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Keith.

It's partly cloudy and 45, rising to 55 with wind from the west at 10-20 mph.

Yesterday was dreary, with off and on rain showers and misty conditions.
We couldn't take our grandson, Oliver, to the playground, so we were off to the local library to explore, and maybe find him a book or two.
We found that they have a children's room with toys and things to do with other kiddos. We spent an hour there, and left with a DVD on trucks. He enjoyed it as much as any 1.5 y/o, and alternately danced to the music, or ignored the video in favor of something else that was of interest.

The three cats continue to disappear when he's downstairs, only to reappear when he's upstairs for naps or bed. Laguna is MIA this morning, but must be upstairs somewhere, since we saw her last night before bed.

Today, we'll have breakfast and head over to a park in Framingham, where we'll meet up with the other grands and our granddaughter, Elouise. We thought it would be a good way to give the grandkids some normalcy with their parents gone, although Oliver hasn't missed a beat.
We plan on pizza, later, for dinner.

Enjoy your day,
Steve

Morning all, and thanks for the coffee, Keith.

Rain here and 9C, headed to 11 and more rain. Mrs. O and I ran out for painting supplies last night, then stopped for some fast food since we hadn't eaten since breakfast. When we went to get leave, there was a large puddle expanding and running along on the restaurant floor floor. Looking up, there was dripping that was almost a stream coming from the ceiling, and multiple large paint bubbles that were obviously filled with water. I told the counter staff, who looked and reacted like I was senile, so we left. BY the time we got in the car and started to head out of the parking lot, I think all the staff were dining room trying to figure it out. Thru the windows it looked like the drawing of early caveman seeing fire for the first time. Guess they should keep to asking if you'd like to add an apple pie to your order, and not tax their grey matter beyond it's capacity.

Enjoy your day.

Those look like Yammy carbs. I had laid hands on my son's 87 Radian and were exactly the same.

G'mornin' from SoMD! Thanks, Keith, for the FR it went well with the waffles I cooked up! Wife says I'm an artist in the kitchen...nope, I'm just following a recipe found online and happen to pick a good one.

It dropped to 38F/3C overnight, but we've already climbed to 58F, should top out in the low-60s. I've no concrete plans yet again and whatever I said I'd do yesterday, well it didn't get done...okay I did laundry, check that one box!)

I will plug a documentary that I had a small part in if anyone recalls me mentioning it last year about the tornadoes that hit my town in 1926 and 2002. Search for "Unseen Hooks" on PBS, 6pm EST. You might recognize someone in it...

I think some tidying up around the office is needed, and def want to run the mower today to clip those few struggling blades not agreeing to go to sleep for the winter just yet. Take care y'all!

Wish everyone a good ride if you're able and watch those wet leaves

When I was out on my bicycle last Friday, I commented to my riding companion that riding on wet leaves is like riding on glare ice, the difference being that on glare ice at least you know you're going to crash, where on wet leaves you're never sure. Leaves are much more nerve-wracking that way.

Morning Keith & All, from sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 50F, up from 27F and heading for 62F. No breeze yet, but later the winds will be out of the WNW @ 4mph. Next scheduled storm is looking to be a little over a week out. We'll see! :well1:

I was not able to get the conduit set up under the shed, when I looked under there, I found that they put a 2x6 a couple of inches below the floor, so where I was hoping to place the conduit in the shed, that 2x6 was in the way. I also got smart and decided to check to see if I had enough wire to reach where I wanted it to. Nope, I was about 7' to 8' short. So I'll be running to Home Depot tomorrow morning for more wire. :cautious: But I did connect the rest of the outlets, so at least my tractor is back on the battery maintainer.

We also went to our neighbors 50Th Anniversary, which turned out nice. They had a lot of family from out of town (California) and the five of our neighbors.

Boiled eggs, bacon, toast, OJ & Lemon Tea. Pepsis sitting in the fridge for later.

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:
