Power to weight ratio of ST1100?

Here's the other puzzle piece: The ST1100 weighs about 720 lbs wet.

At 88 HP and 720 Lbs, 0.1222, or 8.18 Lbs per HP.
I found specs of 100 Hp on Bikez.com and 655 Lbs for the 2003 ST1100P model on Honda's site giving 0.15267, or 6.55 Lbs per HP.
The Bikez.com site shows 100HP for 1991, but 98 HP for 2003 P model. Anyone know of a more authoratative source?

Just why i was asking is because over here,if you have a provesional licence you are restricted to drive of 33bhp or under,or you can get it restricted(if it is a full powered bike)down to 33 or less. And also when you sit and pass your full licence test, you are then still restricted for 2yrs from date of licence, like i am.I also have a Suzuki DL650 that is factory restricted,so i am able to get it insured.
It would be a sin to restrict a ST1100 down to 33bhp or less(i wonder has it ever been done before??????)

Back when I dyno tested my '93 it produced 94 rear wheel horsepower. I also weighed it at an even 700lb on the MCN scales they use for their model evaluations. The bike had about 1/2 tank of gas and nothing in the bags. That would make the ratio about 7.5lb/hp.

My 96 P model pulls 90rwhp, so allowing for dyno differences around 90 hp would be about right. Models after around 96 have slightly less aggressive cams in them across the range, so may account for the official power differences from early to late years.

Official weight figures for the P model are 297kg (655lb) dry weight with saddlebags, curb weight 326kg (719lb) with saddlebags. This seems to be the same as the civilian non-standard models (standards models are around 213kg lighter). The police seat is about the only extra over a standard model, so I don't know where all the extra weight comes from. I will have to compare a single seat to the normal one as I know a few people with single seats hanging up in their garage.
