Olympia Viper V. Air Glide

Louie Louie

Anyone know what the difference is between these 2 jackets? Thanks I believe the Viper is a newer jacket but not certain its replacing the Air Glide.

I have both and although the Viper is good, the Air Glide has much more mesh. My Air Glide was a bit the worse for wear after my AR crash. I bought the Viper after a fruitless search for another Air Glide.

LL,

I think it is a slightly different style but the big difference is the liner:

"Two stage waterproof Liner Jacket - Sturdy wind and waterproof / breathable rip stop nylon shell with removable Dupont Thermolite? insulation, rib collar, two water proof pockets and interior cell phone pocket."

The Airglide liner is a single piece liner.

If you're looking for Olympia gear check out the BMW dealers as many seem to carry it.

P.S. - It also appears that the Viper has some "2000 denier Dupont Cordura?" that the Airglide doesn't have. They don't seem to offer it in hi-viz either.

The 2 stage liner is a pain. I don't know what I did with the vest looking thing that makes it 2 stage, it didn't have a zipper or velcro to keep it closed, so it doesn't do me any good.
My Viper is mostly black with hi-viz sections on the back, sides, and sleeves. The black has faded to almost gray. I much prefer the Air Glide. The Viper was under my Frogg Toggs in the CO get off and didn't get a scuff.
