Anyone ever install a quad-lock hard wired charging head?

@Willsmotorcycle, I think in your picture of the left side of the bike there is a mistake. You show an arrow pointing to a connector next to the big plastic boot covered connector in the harness. I don't think that is the OEM quartet harness 9 pin connector. The Q-harness 9 pin is dangling near the left fork leg's triple clamp. IIRC, the factory wiring for this was not long enough to reach the boot covered 20+ pin connector.

You are correct sir, that is a picture that does not have a quartet installed.

Hey folks. I bought an oxford fuse box to install, and it needs to be tapped into switched power, so I have opened up the back of the bike to hook to the "brown" wire on the taillight. But when I open the bike I see something different than the wiring diagram or the videos I have been able to find. Can you folks look at these two pictures and advise what this new red wiring block is?

NOTE - I was looking to tap into the brown wire in the tail light bundle circled on the screen.

Service check connector.
Used for testing PGM-FI
Not a suitable power tap

I finally got the strap loose, but now the wiring bundle leading back to the tail lights doesn't seem to have a "brown" wire, only 2 "Black with a brown stripe" wires (indicated?)

@Mellow - I have the bags off anyway so I will look for the ABS "ACC" tap point you mention....

Just to be sure @Mellow - my bike is a 2008 w/ABS....so it is the green and red wire to tap that goes into the thin fuse box? As you have tapped below? Sorry to pester, I am just worried about wrecking the bike.
