I was at a professional development conference beginning of the year. The monitors used in practically every hospital come from China. It has been discovered that there is a back door chip that sends all information back to China but would also allow remote control. Your monitor/doser might be displaying the correct information but in reality China has changed your medication dosing or oxygen levels or whatever or your dead and the nurses have no idea.
This joke isn’t to far from reality, unfortunately

The same with PV Inverters, they've found undocumented GSM components on the PCBs of various models... their actual function is unclear...
So even when you disconnect them from WLAN/your network there is a plausible chance they still send data, or even receive commands...
Not much of an issue on a private two-panel system with max 800W capacity, but it could impact the grid if they decide to manipulate larger PV systems...

They didn't even spell defibrillator correctly. Many people don't. :rolleyes-2x:

Brian, former engineer at Physio-Control, now part of Stryker
Used to repair LP 5s and the LP33s. But that was a long time ago. When did Physio-Control get bought up by Striker. Been a while since I did any repairs on Striker equipment also. Over 35 years in the Biomedical Equipment Maintenance, Repair and Calibration, and Technical Instruction field for the United States Army, both Active Duty and Department of Army Civilian (DAC).
First 5 years of Active duty was in the Nike Hercules Missile System Maintenance.

… the coach called one of his seven-year-old players over and said, "Look do you understand what cooperation is? What team play is?" The kid nods.

"Do you understand what matters is not whether we win or lose but how we play together as a team? The little boy again nodded.

"So", said the coach "Im sure you know when a penalty is called, you shouldn't argue, curse or attack the ref or call him a peckerhead? Do you understand that?” Again the little boy nodded.

The coach continued, "And when I call you off the field so that another boy gets a chance to play, it's not good sportsmanship to call your coach a dumb ***hole, is it?" Again, the little boy nodded.

"Good!", said the coach.
“Now go over there and explain that all to your mum.”
