I wish I had kept track of my lifetime miles. Started street riding in 1965 and rode approx. 10,000 a year for the next 6 years (60,000 miles). In 1972 I started commuting to work by motorcycle (plus pleasure riding and vacations) in the motorcycle industry which I did for 17 years, I'm guessing 25,000 miles a year (425,000 miles). Changed jobs and only rode on weeknights, weekends and vacations and averaged approx. 10,000 a year for the next 24 years (240,000 miles). Retired a year and a half ago, and rode 13,500 that year. This year I rode 27,000 miles. If I were guessing and it would only be a guesstimate at this point, I would think I have ridden in the neighborhood of 765,000 miles. However I didn't start actually recording my mileages until Jan 1, 2008, since then it's been 94,083 up until Dec 31, 2014. My goal is to ride until I am 70. (5 1/2 more years) if I can average 20,000 a year for the next 5 1/2 that would be an additional 110,000 or 875,000 miles. Won't make a million, but it's been a heck of a ride so far. If I can make it to 75 years old..who knows?
