15 All New 2026 Sport Touring & Touring Motorcycles Unveiled At EICMA 2025

I guess it is where and how one rides I think this is where some of the answer lies. Before I bought my ST1100 I had a Kawasaki 550 cruiser bike and I would ride with my HD friends. I was OK until They started going on multiple state rides and my bike lacked the comfort and gas mileage. Those big Harleys would run at 80 all day long comfortable for 600 to 900 mile days. I did not want a HD so I did some research what to replace my 550 Kaw with. At that time only BMW or Kawasaki or Honda had what I was looking for. I choose the ST1100 and I never looked back. My friends I still ride with today only I still have my ST1100 and they are on thier 3rd and fourth Harley's. I laugh my A off when we ride now and thier newest latest CVO harleys can't out run me on the superslab and besides even if they could I'd just bypass them at the service station as they are filling up for gas. :rd11:

Now, after 67,000 miles, I have come to love my NC 750 .... so much so in fact, that I just bought another one to start racking miles up on. I love the heated grips, I love the cruise control (aftermarket), I love the DCT trans, I love the light weight, I love the economy of it, I love the ergos, am happy with the power, I do wish it had shaft drive, but the chain isn't a deal breaker.
I totally get it! I have the 700 manual with top box and hard bags and we took it everywhere before the ST. It was perfectly comfortable at 85 mph sweet spot on the highway but like you say it’s a great bike for local/country roads. I’ll probably keep it for use around our big city traffic. The NC is kind of an under appreciated bike in the US. Very capable bike.

The CBR1100XX is/was the ultimate "sport tourer" in the barest sense once you threw saddlebags over it. But I don't see it being very comfy for very long distance runs. And it doesn't go off road. At all.

I had a 3-bag Givi setup, and it actually didn't look bad with the 3 black cases on it. The Givi rack was upgraded, and looked stealth with all the bags off.
Sold the XX to get my first dual sport bike.
That 'bird is truly "the one that got away."

I’d laugh with you, except these days the ole ST has much better range than my bladder. Maybe I need to Farkle myself with a relief tube like those Ironbutt riders allegedly use.

I thought it was a good video I doubt I'll ever buy a new one but if I did I think I'd go for the blue Kawasaki for an ST type bike kind of a funny "notched in" pannier but still looks big enough
Styling on all of them seems a bit nicer some of the displays look a little easier to take as well, can't be getting worse
Maybe even the drive by wire is better
