Ontario's bureaucracy around this requirement sounds downright draconian! Not like that in BC at all. How many other provinces are so tough on sellers of older vehicles?
I tried to convince my ST buddy here, who recently crashed his 2001, to do a fly ride for that bike, where all it would take is a new registration for the bike once in BC.
 
It’s such an old bike now so why would they care? It’s not like it has to pass any 2026 standards, but that’s governments for you, just complicating everything. I recall when they had bike inspection in NJ decades ago…turn on the lights and beep the horn (not the important stuff like brakes and tires- that didn’t seem to matter). It was a colossal waste of time and resources.
 
Hopefully Motorsports Pickering will do the inspection, even if the OP has to buy some new tires. Possibly that potential buyer could be convinced to kick in more dollars for the purchase to cover the tires.

Wondering what the date codes on his tires are now?
