I need to come up with some sort of heat shield. all ideas/materials are welcome! Thanks.

Try a bead rider. Some of the guys who have tried extensive heat abatement things have reported they were for naught. Only way to keep the heat way down is to park the bike and let it sit with the engine off.

You can reduce heat by making sure your throttle bodies are synchronized. If they are out it can run much warmer than a balanced bike will.

Just so we can offer best recommendations and ideas,,,, what area/s are you wanting to shield,, specifically,,, ie: legs,,, crotch,,, all of the above,,, ??
