2010 ST1300A
Hate to do it but, selling my ST.
Traxxion Dynamics AK-20 cartridges in forks,
YSS shock on rear. EBC hh pads in front calipers, AllBallz steering stem bearings, Driveshaft serviced @17,000 miles. Will have new rear tire. Front still good. Rest of bike is all original. Runs great. Handles awesome. 20220917_194851.jpg20220917_195035.jpg

Why would your bike with 18k miles need replacement steering stem bearings? What did you do to the driveshaft at 17k miles? Did you burn through the front pads in less than 18k miles or did you replace them because of preference?

AllBallz steering stem bearings are tapered roller bearings. They are a superior bearing for feel & smoothness. All modifications were done with the intent of making the bike handle as great as possible. The brake pads are likewise for braking performance. Sintered pads offer superior feel & better bite than organic pads. And no they won't ruin your rotors! I serviced the driveshaft because I purchased the bike used & didn't know if the previous owner had ever done it. And yes I used the correct gear paste for the pinion! $40 per canister. I made these upgrades because me & my wife enjoy riding twisty roads fast and these upgrades allow us to do so without wallowing or bottoming out. Mid corner bumps won't upset the chassis. Mid corner line changes are easy. Emergency stops are not panic inducing. In short everything done was for performance, not repair. Thanks for your curiosity. Are you interested in purchasing my bike? I would like to sell it to someone who loves the ST line up. I wish I had the time & money to do a really long trip on it at least once. Just not in the cards unfortunately.

Edit- also installed a new battery 2months ago. Has trickle charger plug installed. Battery was just old.

Hey folks, I'll vouch for the price of the bike. I have a naked bike and the price of suspension mods is ALLOT. Looks like the forks and rear shock is a real plus. I have an '08 and from what I've read, the U-joint might be an issue in the future if you ride allot like I do. I have ridded naked/sports/cruiser bikes. Ya gotta REALLY think about the suspension. I paid $5500 for mine 8 years ago. I'm going to get the AK's. And I just bought a Sargent seat. Any ST owner knows the costs/specs.
I'll even throw in the 30 track days I've done with other bikes. I hope my next one will be on the ST. And yes, it can be done :inlove-2x:

I’ve graduated through the ranks on suspension.
Straight rate with 5 weight, better.
Gold valves wow.
DMR cartridges, oh, I see it can be even better.
Traxxion AK-20 cartridges, I found my home. So much so that I got another set for my other ST1300.

So yeah 7500 might sound a little high as the years go by yet with a closer look at the numbers this bike looks really well set up for the price.
