Sorry to hear this. I just got to meet Bill for the first time at this year's WV-STOC. Thoughts and prayers for his family. He'll be missed.

Very sad news indeed. My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends. Strength and peace to you all.

My condolences to Helen and the family. Bill was one of the great characters of OHSTOC. An awesome guy who will be greatly missed. RIP Saddletramp

"Saddletramp" who rode "Dark Star", I mean, the guy was just too cool! I will sorely miss his gravel tones at OH-STOC. Like all big, gruff fellows he had a heart of gold and wise counsel. Susan and I send our thoughts and best wishes to Helen and family.

Just got back from the services for Bill - 991 miles round trip (up Friday for the visitation and back today). One of his sons ask me if I would ride with him (he was on Bill's trike) to the house and escort Helen to the church today for the services. I felt fortunate that I could be there to do that for them. I hope I was an encouragement to Helen and the family. BTW, Bill had his favorite Marine shirt on - which was just what he wanted - and a big smile on his face. I will miss him!

Bill's viewing and funeral were well attended. From the ST-Owners group we had Uncle Phil, Ron & Marcia Dohy (Dohboy), John & Kristie Gregory (WBGVA_RoadKill), Pat & Annette O'Brian (SIRepair), Doug (OhioDeere), and John & Joni Conner (JohnConner). Bill has 10 children, the youngest is 20. Plus grandchildren, other relatives, and many, many friends. All were in attendance. There must have been at least a couple hundred people that showed up for the visitation Friday evening. The service on Saturday was very personal and inspirational. It was clear that Bill had a close relationship with his Pastor.

Judy and I will miss Bill. I was fortunate enough to visit with Bill in the hospital the week before. Even though he was so ill, he was trying so hard to be strong and even suggesting where to buy a new battery for my ST! He looked up a site on his phone and handed it to me! He was always thinking of other people. I will always remember our rides with fond memories.

We were so sad that we were out town and could not get back for the funeral.

Our thoughts go out to Helen and his children. We are sorry for their loss.

Cindy and I met had the pleasure of meeting Bill and Helen at OhSToc last year and I regret not using the opportunity to get to know him better. Our sincere condolences and our thoughts and prayers go out to Helen and the family. Rest in Peace Bill.
