2026 BMW R 1300 RT Review

The BMW R 1300 RT sport-tourer comes into 2026 with a few major updates, including a more powerful engine, updated styling, improved ergonomics, and a new chassis. The liquid-cooled boxer engine was bumped up from 1,245cc to 1,300cc, and both horsepower and torque were increased. The frame was updated to a new steel sheet metal unit, and suspension was upgraded with electronically adjustable EVO Telelever and EVO Paralever systems. The bike also includes adjustable seat height, an adjustable windscreen, and an adjustable handlebar.

Quinn Redeker takes a spin on the new R 1300 RT, equipped with optional Automated Shift Assistant. In this video review, he shares his experience with the new model and explains what it feels like to use BMW’s ASA.

It sounds inviting. It seems they have made good smart improvements. I just wish it was a little easier on the eyes. From some angles, its not too bad and others, it seems some of the angles dont match the color changes. I still have yet to see one. When the snow goes, I may head into the dealer to see one in person. Dont know if that is smart as I'm really intrigued with the improvements.

Your wallet would be empty handed if you bring this home.
Yep, definitely a little lighter...LOL. I have toyed with the idea of painting my current RT this color. It would be much cheaper than buying a new one. Besides, this appears to be a custom paint job or photoshop, so I dont need to worry about seeing this in my local showroom.
