Gitty up! time to throw a leg over and head north to Cedar City, Ut for the nite at the Marriott Courtyard. Thought
we would get the comforts out of the way early ha!
Day 2- 6am-3:30, up over Escalante, Torrey. Capital Reef, Hanksville into Glenwood Springs for the nite. Cool in the am 90’s afternoon, clear skies. Lots of deer in the mountains into Torrey. Locked eyes with one on the side of the road he zagged left me right, 12in from a prairie dog standing in the middle of the road. Lived to ride another day.
Don't run over anything you can't eat in one sitting.
I haven't been to a BMW national in a long, long time.
It's a big country, eh?

Day 3- 6am-3:30 400mi, Silth, Co to Atwood, Ks via I-70 (yuk making easterly time to Hwy36 to Atwood, 30min thru Denver then fields of early wheat crops with northwest cross wind yousa! Storm track above and below at present God watching over us
Day 4- 7am-4, 440mi, Hwy 36 all day with steady rain for 3hrs to Brookfield, Mo staying in a city park $20, pool & shower (hot water only) beat tonight more rain tomorrow into Williamstown, Ky “The Arc Encounter” Motelling no pics today..
Day 5- 5am wake-up with rain, headed towards Williamstown, Ky, via Hwy36, 558mi, Hwy64 $127 into south Cincy, and down , packed most things inside but tent & bike cover were soaked away wet, Mexican tonight, Helmet bolt replacement today…met a nice Mendonite family 10 in a van at the hotel, did some cleanup and nighty nite.
Day 7- 330mi, attended church total of 7 people including us, ended up in the woods south of Morgantown, Wv. Mt Woodpark campground nice but kind of Deliverence feeling, did a lot of narrow 2 lane without centerline roads in the am then some smaller 4 lane highways. Heading for State College Pa tomorrow.
Day 8- 5am clear skies but “HUMID” soaked ha! Fire flies all nite, not much sleep due to the location being in the Hollar! Patrol car rolled thru at 1am, our campsite was nice but isolated on one way gravel road with us at the end, some random cars thru the nite kept me up. The ride today was 119WV, 192WV, 711PA, 22PA, break at Dollar Tree, landing in State College KOA. Hot shower today!
Day 9- 300mi, 6:30am-5 long day due to taking secondary roads thru western WV and eastern Pennsylvania some real beautiful scenery, architecture, foliage like way better than the BRPW. To many road numbers to remember but the route was from State College, Pa to Lake Lucern. Ny. We will be in Essex Junction by 11am tomorrow. Another KOA tonight!
