28 amp alternator removal help

ok after the welding, things skrew up , due to the welding heat, the internal bearing gave away, the alternator does spin freely, look like i need to replace the bearing

anybody know how to remove this bearing IMG_20131203_183222.jpgthis is the rear small bearing facing the back cover

Counter clockwise to remove the left swingarm pivot bolt lockring.

Only one of your attachments in posts 22-24 is showing up, and clicking on them results in a dead link... :(

A small bearing-puller, 2- or 3-legged:

When installing the new bearing on the shaft, ensure to put force only onto the inner race.
Clean and lube the shaft end, find a fitting socket or pipe and a small hammer to tap that inner bearing race on.

thanks ST1100Y, will look for the tools and try do my self, worse case i'll send to machine shop
