I'm hoping to get some help.
I have a Baehr Intercom with 5 pin plug for the helmet headset.
I also have a Parrot SK4000 Bluetooth Stereo Headset for my Helmet.

Can anyone give advise on what bluetooth adapter to use?
I don't want to pay $4-500 for the J&M when I'm not sure if they will pair with the Parrot.

It will only need to offer mic and stereo headset inputs and be able to pair in a similar protocol as a Phone or Radio.

What! No takers yet?
I successfully threw together a Bluetooth adapter to replace the connector wire for a phone and it cost only about $25 using a $12 bluetooth handsfree and some small electrical parts.

Still need bluetooth to helmet though.

step.leahy,

Well I'll tell you what I'm using and how I modified my blue tooth headset, and that might point you in the right direction. Maybe :) ... I'm using a 6 rider Multi-Phone http://www.yueny-moto.com/6-riders-multi-interphone-1000meters.html. I Modified my headset to use Sony MDR-V150 cushioned headphone speakers instead of the stock helmet speakers that where supplied. They make a BIG difference in sound quality and bass response. Here's the link to that mod http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-intercoms/motorcycle-intercom-speakers/.
If you can match your headsets Speaker Posi and Neg and Mig Pos wires to a 3.5mm connector you could use them with this blue tooth unit, or desolder the wires from your headset and resolder using the mic boom and cable.
As for pairing, this unit paired with no issues to my Sprint LG phone and no issues on a other channel with a BT005 Blue Tooth adapter connected to my Ipod. The 6 Riders Multi-Interphone can be configured to connect between the 2 bluetooth helmet units for ride/pillion commo and x4 other devices.
I'm currently building a unit for my dash that routes all the audio outs to a interface that that has x2 blue tooth dongles, with selector switches. This way I could listen to my Ipod and my pillion could listen to the MX radio, or any combination based on the selector switch settings.

Hope that helps .

Thanks,
Does the 6 rider connect to 6 headsets or only 6 devices including two headsets?
I have the bluetooth headset (two now that yesterday I ordered the Nolan N102 with headset and bluetooth).
I would like to know what you use for the bluetooth dongles? I've seen them around for stereo but not microphone as well so I can talk on the bikes intercom.

It's designed for x6 head sets or devices. ...range is 1000M, I have tested at over 500M and the other helmet was in a car . Think of the blue tooth connection as a plug, you can plug any other bluetooth device in to it. Here's the break down . Rider1(headset 1) and pillion1 ( headset 2) connect on channel A, Rider1 can connect to Rider2(headset3) on channel B, connect to Rider3(headset 4) on channel D and Rider4 (headset5) on channel E. Rider1 can still pair his/her cell to their headset which becomes the 6 device.
They are NOT conference connected, just the ability to push the connection button , and connect to that device. You have different audible tones based on which connection is trying to connect to you.

Using actual bluetooth devices, you can do the follow:
Rider1(headset 1) and pillion1 ( headset 2) connect on channel A (standard connection)
Ipod(via bluetooth dongle) Channel B
GPS ( bluetooth or dongle) channel C
XMradio (bluetooth or dongle) channel D
Cell Phone paired either on code 1111 or 0000

The bluetooth dongle I'm using is a BTT005 , about $25.00 on ebay .. works well .. Stereo ..Good quality music sound with my speaker upgrades.

I might be misunderstand what you are trying to do , The 6 riders are both Bluetooth Transmitter & receivers, bluetooth dongles are only transmitters.

Yes. Thanks. Though your information about the 6 rider is interesting. A mate I ride with pointed me to this just a couple of days ago. It will give us something to look at.

I have been looking for a bluetooth intercom server or similar type device that will connect multiple devices with full duplex. I've even considered setting up a laptop in the topbox if it needs that sort of processing.

I am after a transmitter and receiver dongle for full mic and stereo connectivity for an intercom.
