Just wanted to let ya'll know about a website called Nubania.com that I launched a couple of weeks ago that probably isn't going to interest any of you, but may interest someone you know.
I developed it primarily out of my teaching experiences with learning-disabled kids and wanting to give those kids (and adults like them) a place where they could be someone special. I'm especially looking for people who are creative - artists, writers, designers, photographers, architects, etc. Kids, young adults, and adults who maybe don't exactly fit in with the masses and want to get away from the noise.
There is minimal mandatory-only tracking on the site, no data mining or sales, no advertisers, and no outside companies getting invasive access to members. I'm trying my best to keep it free from those things.
Since I'm keeping the advertisers and their control off the site, I have to charge something to help pay all the bills. It is free to join, but I'm asking a very small monthly fee of $2 to open up all the benefits. There is also a monthly fee of $2.17 to create your own digital country and cities, which is a lot of fun but isn't necessary.
I'm available one-on-one to answer any questions, to help someone get started, and to be there for them along the way.
Thanks for letting someone know who maybe needs a place like this.
Randy
