A bike came in for "trash brakes". What I found is what horror stories are written about. A "dealer special" that the owner complained wouldn't stop worth a darn. Let's take a look...
Yes in the first image, the rotor did eat the ENTIRE PAD all the way through the backing. On the passenger side and rear, it's straight metal on rotor. All three pads are f*cked. But it gets worse... in a PTSD kind of way.
WHO'S THE A**HOLE USING LAG BOLTS TO DISABLE THE BRAKE SYSTEM?!?!?
The system wouldn't bleed. I WONDER WHY!!! The bolts were installed on the SMC and rear brake caliper essentially disabling the braking system by locking the brakes. AND THE DEALER CHARGED THIS POOR MAN ALMOST A GRAND TO KILL HIM!! Just because they're a "DEALER" doesn't mean they know ***** they're doing!! NEVER GO TO THE DEALER!!!!
