ABS Modules - Do they go bad??

I've got two bikes in for service both with blinking ABS lights. I did the usual check the pickup sensors for debris and gunk and both are clean. Has anyone experienced an issue with the control module itself??

I had one code and it was the control module which I replaced and about a year later I had a different code and it was the ABS pump that was bad and I replaced it.

FWIW, never had a ST1100 ABS module go bad (I would think they are similar in construct).
As you said, it is usually the sensors.
On the ST1100, if the battery is failing, the ABS will throw all kinds of error codes.

I had to replace the front ABS modulator. The warning light would sometimes come on while driving. I'd turn the ignition off and restart, and everything would be fine. After 20 km, it would come on again, and so on. Then it wouldn't go off at all after starting to drive. I installed a used one from eBay, and it's been working perfectly for a year.
