Hi there

What is the easiest way to access and change the rear indicator bulbs?

I am having a hard time loosening the bulbs from under the seat. They seem pretty stuck 😮

Regards,
Ken

I had an awful time getting them from under the seat, but eventually managed.
I may have used a long pair of pliers to help rotate the bulb holders.
The only other way involves taking the rear tupperware all off.
Once you go get them out, put a bit of petroleum jelly on the orings. It will make future removal easier.

I have changed out rear bulbs couple of times. First time was as Obo described. Second time I removed bags then 4 easy to access bolts to remove splash guard.. laying on the floor.

Oh yes....the rotatable sockets....they are nearly stuck. As suggested, when re installing some petroleum jelly...or similar applied to the o rings....will make install much easier.

I think the bulb sockets had an o-ring or were rubber. I used silicone grease rather than vaseline (or other petroleum jelly). And yes, I too had to use needle nose pliers to get them out.

I found the easiest way was to drop the rear fender and get to the sockets from underneath. They will be a bear to get out. Note the position of the socket in your hand immediately after removing. It'll make replacing it much easier. A wise man once suggested closing your eyes when replacing it. It helps. That is if you can use the Force.

Lubing the O-rings before replacing should make removing them the next time a bit easier.
