So a motorcycle salesman near me is selling the above-mentioned bike at an okay price. I don't need another bike but..I have always wanted to own a cruiser-type bike because they are visually appealing and classic-looking to me, and it is a type of bike I haven't owned until now, so it will broaden my motorcycle culture.

I am not familiar with this model. Has anyone had any experience with these bikes? I am assuming typical Honda reliability, but are there any known issues with them? 60 hp, 6-speed gearbox, shaft drive, 4 spark plugs, hydraulic clutch.

I am 6ft1 will it fit? Looks like my legs will be a little cramped, and handlebars seem too forward, but I may be wrong.

It looks good in the photos, turn signals don't seem original.

Edit: it is marked as a 1987, but I think this model is from 1983 to 1985.

Looking at the low fluid, and color of the brake fluid, it will probably need the brake system rebuilt at that age, and as pointed out, parts will be almost impossible to find.
They were nice bikes when new, the the CDI and electrical stuff usually died around 20k miles etc.
Unless you have a source of a couple spare parts bikes, I’d pass on a bike that is 40 years old!

If you are looking for a cruiser, reliable and light, go for the Shadow Spirit VT1100C, ( my opinion ) I find one with only 7K miles, very well maintained. It is 2007, and as Igofar said you have to check everything from end to front to be sure that every detail was taken care of.
Is more like a traditional bike, with not too many electronic and easy to maintain.
Good luck.

Nice style, comfortable, easy to ride.
Based on my experience, I think that you will find this particular cruiser to small and cramped for you, and underpowered.
I had a 1992 VT1100C. I did around 340,000 Km on it all over North America.
Great bike.

I remember that bike well, it's a cruiser with steep rake; kind of [in my opinion anyway] Honda's answer to the Yamaha [preceeds my VStar... it'll come to me, anyway]. If I could find a good example of it, I'd scoop it up.
