      Start with a City beginning with A
    1. This is BY STATE
    2. Similar to the Tag contest, there will be one thread per state
    3. Post a picture of your bike AND some sign, building etc which clearly shows the city/state you're in
    4. The next person posts from a city with the name beginning with B, then C, D, etc
    5. You can't posts back-to-back pics, you have to wait for a person to post the next city
    6. Once Z is reached, the game starts over with A
    7. If your state doesn't have a city beginning with the next letter in sequence, it's okay to skip that letter
    8. If the location sits for more than one month, the person that posted that is open to move it to the next letter.Previously Rule 8
    9. For some States there are tough letters to find such as Q, W, X, Y, Z - in those cases it is acceptable to find anything with those letters in the name to keep the game moving.

    The World Wide game is a bit different as it is by whatever is considered a geographic type of regional category, state/province/village etc. and all those will be in the single World Wide A-Z topic.

Not Much History -

Quinton is an unincorporated community in Walker County, Alabama located 4.2 miles (6.8 km) south-southeast of Dora. Quinton has a post office which opened on March 27, 1888. The name 'Quinton' comes from the Old English for "Queen's town".

A bit of history -

Sumiton began as a mining town that grew up around a railroad sometime after the Civil War. The first commercial mining venture in Sumiton was Philip and Moran's Mining Company. At various times also known as Bald Eagle, Commercial, Democrat, and Summit, Sumiton's current name, which was adopted in 1926, results from its location at one of the highest points in Walker County. The first post office opened in 1924, and the first public school in 1940. The city was incorporated in 1952.​

A bit of history -

Temperance Oak, Alabama, is a historic rural community located in western Limestone County, near Rogersville. In 1844 Temperance Oak Missionary Baptist Church was organized. The church, cemetery and the community around it was named Temperance Oak because a preacher stood on an oak stump and preached on temperance. The church purchased 5 acres on February 7, 1850 for $5.00. The deed shows that John Baker and Richard Shoemaker were "trustees for the Baptist Church at Temperance Oak". Situated near Lentzville and Pleasant Grove, the area was historically populated by small-scale, non-slaveholding farmers who often held Unionist sentiments during the Civil War era. Records indicate families, such as the Casteels, resided in the area as early as 1861. Historically, this area was comprised of small farms where residents engaged in farming, often struggling to compete with larger, slave-labor-driven plantations in North Alabama. ​

A bit of history -

Vina, Alabama, located in southwest Franklin County, was incorporated in 1909 and has roots as a 19th-century settlement known as originally Jones Crossroads due to a prominent local family and later was named New Burleson. It was renamed Vina after a railroad engineer’s wife and developed as a rural community. The town was officially incorporated in 1909. Vina's school history began with a one-teacher subscription school taught by Mrs. L. J. Vinson ("Aunt Hun") before a one-room school was built in 1907-1908. The town established a community center, fire station, park, and industrial park, and celebrated its 100th anniversary around 2009.​

West Jefferson, Alabama, is a small town in Jefferson County that developed in the 1880s from a farming community into a mining hub driven by the Birmingham steel industry. Incorporated in October 1964, the town was named after the 1926 West Jefferson High School, which now serves as the town hall, and is home to the Alabama Power Miller Steam Plant.​

Yerkwood is a historic, unincorporated coal-mining community in Walker County, Alabama, located just northwest of Birmingham. Rooted in the 20th-century Southern Appalachian coal boom, the area's legacy was built around operations like the Burnell Coal Mining Company. Today, the region is transitioning through major land reclamation projects and economic development.​
