G'Day...

2°/5°C, gray, gray, and some more gray... slight chances precipitation... (great, and I just washed the car this weekend...pfffff...)

home and office coffee charge absorbed... ☕

moderate busy w/e, some progress on the NT700...
ze GF volunteered to remove broken bits (besides the physical therapy also a bit of a "strafing" for wrecking it... ;))
even used the shop-vac to remove dried up tufts of grass, soil and pebbles from pretty much everywhere in there...
Meanwhile I plastic-welded and epoxy-ed various items like the belly pan/engine spoiler back in shape...

Further got the mangled cowl stay off and the replacement installed, clips and harness back on, fixed the transport damaged donor headlight
also obtained at eBay (two prongs got smashed in transit) with some special cement (worked flawless!), and installed that with new bulbs while at it...
Then swapped the clocks/PCB from her smashed casing into the base and glass from a used donor instrument cluster;
worked clean and sterile, so not a spec of dust inside, also cleaned the "new" glass with aviation grade acrylic solvent/preserver and
special, lint free rags... installed, tested, all working flawless...

Found starting seepage the thermostat housing (pink/reddish crystals) so ordered a new rubber ring/gasket to replace that
while we've all open anyway...

today office again... dull... but pays the bills... so... eyes closed and go for it... 😑

Enjoy the start into another week...

Already finished the first pot, Martin.
I'm pulling an all-nighter in attempt to port over more documents to the new support platform.
But I'm fading, may have to close my eyes for an hour or two.
Which means mercilessly pounding the Snooze button when the electronic rooster begins squawking all too soon.
Back to it... I needed the break.

Morning all and tanks Martin for the start-up.

-13 here with a windchill of -22. Still dark out. Later, it'll be partly sunny and -6/-13.

I'll leave work early today so the Mrs. and I can travel out of town to pickup her new car. I can't recall if I mentioned, but last Friday when were had 2 cars up for service, she decided to trade in her 3 year old car for a new version of what she has. She said ever since they replaced the head gasket under warranty last year, she's not felt the love, and planned to trade it when the loan was paid in 2 years. I think she was just envious that both my bike and car are newer than hers. :)

Hope everyone has a great day and stays warm or cool, depending on your preference.

Obo.

Thx Martin!

Just around freezing, overcast, a slight breeze from southeast.

Been for a walk uphill.
Ground is solid frozen now, my knees are no likey likey.
Had a couple of long walks on Gran Canary…strange how good life can be…but
I like the uphill walks too…

Nothing much else, some cooking later.
A trip to the library.

Have a good one!
Stu

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee, Martin. Good to see work going well on ze GF's NT.

It's 11°F in Rockville as darkness begins to recede. Judging by the quality of the pre-dawn light I'll guess that the sky is clear of clouds.

We expct a temperature of about 33 for a high, with tomorrow looking like it may reach the mid 40s for the first time since January 22nd. What a long, cold stretch it's been. My skylights have been continuously obstructed by snow for over two weeks.

It's another day with no plan or agenda.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.

It's clear and 5f, rising to 28, later. 10-20 mph winds will make it seem colder.

As predicted, we stayed inside, yesterday, and eventually watched the Pats lose the Superbowl. They didn't have much against Seattle, and it showed.

Today, we'll host our grandkids for awhile, while Joe goes to the dentist.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Morning Martin & All from slight overcast skies in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 40F, up from 34F and heading for 60F, with the cloud covering for the whole day. no breeze yet, and later the winds will be out of the NNW @ 12 to 14mph.

It looks like we "might" get some wet stuff this week or next. But we won't know until it's on the ground. Sure has been a dry winter for the Southwest! :(

With our late church schedule (1:30 to 3:30), it sure throws everything off for the day, so I was able to do pretty much nothing. And watching the Super Bowl was not what we did.

Today, I hope to get out and do some more of the skirting around the shed. I have a couple of areas that need finishing.

Once Chris is up, we'll figure out what to do for breakfast. Pepsi(s) on the menu for lunch.

Anyone :dr13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Morning all! It's grey and wet out there after an absolutely gorgeous day yesterday. Made for a wet ride in and reduced visibility. Was riding by touch at some points.... Currently 6C with a predicted high of 9C.

Half watched the Super Bowl yesterday, i.e., dozed off and on in my recliner while it played in the background. That's a heck of a defence Seattle has. Felt sorry for the QB for NE, kid was running for his life on occasion. I have reached the point in life where sports are background noise and no longer a passion. It's kind of freeing in a way, particularly losing the feeling that I need to keep on top of everything in order to participate in morning after conversations. The process of becoming a recluse continues...... :D

Great pics Stoo, great juxtapositioning as well!

Hope everyone has a great day!

I don't think we got that Model here in Canada, looking like your's is in good shape.
Keys were handed to me in Feb '96, as company car...
So always driven by me, dealer serviced, always taken care off...
bought it out in '09 for € 1000,-, a bargain...

A dull, boring family estate sixth gen facelift Toyota Carina/Caldina T190 with the 1.8ltr 7AFE 107HP petrol engine and a 5 speed manual... 😎

That'll outlast all of us, except maybe the clutch.

G'dafternoon y'all from SoMD! Yep I'm back home and back to work. But wanted to give a quick howdy to everyone and thanks to Martin for today's brew!

The visit was productive, and we got back home on time for once. The herd was initially non-plussed at our return, but soon realized who we were. The Prince of Purrrsia has been my shadow most of today...nonstop hugs and butts-in-face as I try to get work done.

After work I go set up lights for another upcoming production (not mine). And then probably laundry. Exciting, right???

Take care y'all!
